Hmm, I give him a 7/10 for consistency of voice and tone, but only a 2/10 for content, as his references were heavy-handed and obvious. I believe some obscurity and nuance would add flavour to his future material. Overall, then, 4/10 with hope for improvement and acknowledgement of his potential.
