As the Snopes article said, the language gives away its lack of authenticity. Still a good laugh though, real or not.
But yeah, I often wonder what it would have been like being born back then. I'd like to think that I'd be able to resist social pressures for marriage and childbearing and somehow end up accomplishing something with my pitiful female life. A few of my female ancestors did to a certain extent, but were always pulled back by their male counterparts until the mid 20th century.
