I'll advertise my upcoming birthday on GNet next year, so whoever's in the area or inclined to visit can come along. The more the merrier- and the more people buying, the happier the bar I'm celebrating in will be. Might do Big Red up on Holloway next year.

Raptor- G&S, in addition to garlic beer, garlic vodka, garlic snacks, garlic main courses and garlic apptisers, have a range of three garlic desserts. There's a vanilla caramel-custard with finely diced garlic and almond, a chocolate truffle dessert with garlic, and a honey-garlic ice cream with a little garlic flavouring in the ice cream, served with whole cloves dipped in dark chocolate. It's a bit of an odd taste, but not bad. Their Swedish Meatballs, however, with lingonberry and mashed potato in a rich cream-garlic sauce, are absolutely to die for. And their giant garlic-beef burger is so large they serve it with a steak knife instead of a toothpick stuck into it. And then there's always their menu of 101 blended shots, ranging from the vicious Blood Shot to the highly palatable Black Death.
Methadrine, you flattering rogue, why not visit the UK some time? Plenty of us local types to go debauching with

The noblest sentiment I have encountered and the most passionate political statement to stir my heart both belong to a fictional character. Why do we have no politicians as pure in their intent and determinedly joyous in their outlook as Arkady Bogdanov of Red Mars?
