That sucks. I really hate it when a plan goes to pieces like that. I'm glad the landlord is understanding. Sorry to hear about your hand; hope it heals up fast.
I've been moving this past weekend too. A while back I decided I didn't want to have to deal with the one-day-move ever again, so I have a bit of an overlap on my leases. Got all the big stuff moved Saturday with a rental truck and a pair of paid professional movers. Besides paying for the truck rental, I paid $150 plus a $40 tip to watch those two guys haul ass toting exercise equipment, furniture and boxes from one place to another. They did all the big stuff and a lot of boxes in 3 hours, and they really humped it. Best money I've ever spent on moving.
But I've been moving boxes full of little stuff for days and today there's some dishes and clothing and a computer and some other stuff to pack. And I have to decide how much of the porn collection to throw out and how much to keep; think I'm gonna get rid of about half. Then there's the food in the refrigerator, then some plastering, painting and cleaning.
Gahhhhh! I HATE MOVING!!!!
