Being a happily divorced man of similar age, with a pack of young ones (who are playing SuperSmashBros as I write this), who actually sometimes do teach (adults and those ... young adults) ... well.
Let me put it this way, I get away with far far more in the interesting dress department now than I did as a young punk back in the early eighties. It is one of the unfair advantages for older males in western culture; us patriarchs
are not to be questioned. I suggest you take advantage of this fact just as I do.
