I guess it's a good thing I didn't respond to this right after watching that Lewis Black standup special.
I had a girlfriend once who told me it was okay if I woke up in the middle of the night and had the urge to fuck her while she was asleep. I just needed to make sure I took care to use adequate lubrication first. So, on the few occasions when I decided to take her up on this, it became a game to see how aroused I could get her and how far along I could get before she fully woke up.
She said that waking up from a dream to find herself aroused and me inside her genuinely made her happy.
A few years back I saw Merideth Viera admit on The View that she gave her husband permission to have sex with her while she was asleep ... so that's when I knew this must be more common than we know.
