Not so, prostitutes are abused where its legalized as well. Legalization won't stop violence against sex workers, when 22% of johns think that once they pay, they can do ANYTHING to the prostitute and 12% thing its impossible to **** a sex worker. The essay I mentioned to Ben talked about a case where a prostitute accused a man of ****, and the judge merely charged him with the theft of goods. Sex workers are not respected or cared for and thats the real problem. Look at other sex workers like strippers and porn stars who also are regularly abused, legalization alone does not protect them.

Sweden has it legal on the books to sell sex, but not to buy it, because they view prostitution as a form of violence against women and children, and its not a completely inaccurate view. In principle I'm not against porn or stripping or prostitution, its not them I have the problem with but just how normalized abuse against them is.
