My thoughts: I'm not a native English speaker so I might be totaly wrong, but I think there is a problem in the sentences construction. It seems to change style in a... how to tell you... anarchistic manner...
That made it a bit difficult to read to me... But I repeat, I'm not too sure of myself here, maybe that was wanted?... keep going.
