I understand what you are TRYING to say, but you’re just not saying it well (read your first statement above.) I’ve tried to stimulate your thought process by being reactionary, by being flamboyant, condescending, and even trite, which is what I am right now, but you still don’t get it.
I’ll help you out.
What you are trying to say is you don’t understand why gays would want to be married, or would want to be a part of an organization that condemns them. Now, it’s not the church that condemns them specifically, the church is rather free with their condemnations and doesn’t discriminate so much on the degree of sin but rather seeks to teach the existence and avoidance of it, yet it’s the people of the church; through personal interpretations and mock understandings, who try to impose a measure of moral superiority on everyone around them.
And instead of just saying you don’t understand why a person would want to belong to a spiritual institution whose members routinely attack them, which we can compare with our own little board here and ask why you would want to be part of a community that rejects you, but instead of saying you don’t understand you try to dress it up, and your makeup does nothing but reveal you further in the harsh intolerant light of ignorance.
Enough on that subject.

You are taking the emphasis away because you deride the issue in personal morality, and it’s easy to make people forget we are talking about actual honest to goodness people when we strip away their humanity, which also makes it easier to hate them. We’ve done the same thing to Women, Native Americans, Jews, Blacks, Chinese, Arabic and more notably Islamic People, and to whatever the new flavor of next month may bring.
As for me not making a single post in opposition of your argument, well that’s just fucking stupid isn’t it? What you should have said is I haven’t engaged your ideas in direct debate, and I would think the reason for that obvious. YOU don’t have to be psychic to figure them out, just like you I gave a few hints as to my motivations.
