this is the only thing that still has me perplexed. i just can't fathom anyone here, tstone especially, would feel
proud to have inadvertently caused someone else pain - especially again, on the topic of loss in the family. maybe it's just an awkward expression of feeling, but that sounds like a verbal kick in the balls to me - despite whatever differences you say you both have.
