I can see your point a little about the films, which aren't spectacular (and I hated 4), but I love the books. They're entertaining and just kiddie enough to be comforting, but there is some intelligent humour in there as well. I also love most of the characters. And some things are a little predictable, but most of the twists catch me by surprise. (C'mon - who KNEW Pettigrew was Scabbers?!)
