See, punctuation's nice. And I do think the question mark is quite elegantly shaped. She's always been my favourite.

I use punctuation; I was quoting Stein. Everyone has zir own style of writing and punctuation plays a role in that.

I'm familiar with Gertude Stein and her aversion to most punctuation, so I recognised the quote. She's not here to make a counter argument against, though. Pity. My comment wasn't specifically meant for you, but I still felt the need to make it. Somebody's got to stick up for our squiggly brethren!

True! : ) When I was in middle school, I went through a phase of overpunctuating because I was terrified of underpunctuating, haha.

One of the silly things I really love about Victorian literature is that commas, hyphens, dashes, and semi-colons are strewn about like confetti at a typists' party. I must admit I'm glad we've simplified somewhat since then : )

I do not mind mild or even some bad grammatic mistakes. I am not perfect myself either. But when it gets so bad that you cannot read what the person tried to say, I think it's too much.
Appearently, people tend to "save time" by removing half of the alphabet and throw in an x or a z here or there, and it just ticks me off.
