Help in bleaching jeans.

I thought I was going to bleach a nice pair of jeans I bought a few weeks ago, but then figured out I have no idea how to do that. I mean, how do I prevent the bleach from spreading to the rest of the pants? And how do I work with stencils it they will get wet?

Bleach pens should work for what you want. Should work with stencils no problem.

Bleach pens are like permanent markers, except with bleach instead of ink. As for stencils, you can laminate them, or make them out of something plastic-y. I have a construction paper stencil that was okay with spraypaint, you just have to let it dry. Don't know if bleach's corrosive nature would disintigrate construction paper though.

As for keeping the bleaching to the design, remember, less is more, you can always go over it again. I reccomend using a foam wedge style paint brush
