Bleaching before Henna + Indigo?
If I bleach my hair before applying a Henna + Indigo mix, will the Henna + Indigo (Hennigo? lol) turn out more dramatic? My hair is currently dyed black but its' fading out and there's almost two inches of my natural medium-dark brown at the roots. The bleach I have is Born Blonde Maxi and my Hennigo (yay, for inventing new words!) is the Light Mountain Black blend. I know that you are supposed to wait six weeks after using henna to do any other processing but what about with other stuff? Will I have to wait a certain amount of time to henna after bleaching? Will bleaching make the henna not work?

Yikes. If you decide to try bleaching, I'd definitely wait several weeks. And then test the ever-loving crap out of your blend before you put it on your head.
Oxidation dangers aside, if your hair is already fairly dark brown, the indigo/henna mixture should give you a pretty dark (if not black) result to begin with. I'd probably experiment with different blends before resorting to bleaching. (But I'm pretty anti-chemical, so there are probably others that would disagree.)

I got the bleach in a box free from a friend. She gave it to me because i helped her bleach her hair.
Remind me please, what is the deal with this oxidation thing?
I've tried the henna from LUSH before and it gave shitty results for me, barely any color change at all, so I thought perhaps I could try another brand.
I'm not afraid of chemicals, I just want to use this stuff up!

CK- there are youtube videos about bleaching your hair blonde. I think they say, from memory that you need to wait a week (or two) between bleaching and recolouring (for your hair to recover?).
sorry not much use, but would love to see the finished result.

Henna on top of dye or other chemical treatments can oxidize. Which results in green hair. And not cute green hair, either.
Check out hennaforhair.com/ for some basic instructions, techniques, and mixes if you've never used it before. They've got a big grid of hair colors... find one you like, click, and see what that person used to achieve the color. See if you can get to the shade you want without the bleach. It's much safer.

Aaannnd.... my hair's still the same boring shit as before. Now in addition to a re-dye, I also am in need of a hair cut. My bangs are horrifically grown out!

LOL Finally have a hair transformation under way again. I got the chemical stuff. I feel like I can't be bothered to fuck with how time consuming Henna is. Hopefully i got the color even enough for Mr. Kitty's work Christmas party this Friday evening (OMG WTF am I gonna wear?!). I will see if my friend can take pics of it this afternoon for me or I will do a selfie.

About time you got around to it, you procrastinate almost as well as I do.
