I don't know if you heard of it. There is a new thing going on. The "Digital angel" . It's a microcip which is inserted on the forehead or palm and it contains the code -666- (unofficial) along with all your personal data. This microchip makes you traceble anywere on earth and soon you won't be able to buy or sell anything without it.

Do you agree with this. This is not a christian discussion. It's strictly ethical and political.

What do you think?

I've heard of digital angel (this is old news, conspiracy theorists everywhere have been yapping about it for years), and the technology is there (they already use it in pets), but I don't buy the 666 or needing it for commerce thing, and an article I read on it stated it was specifically being marketed and used for tracking pets, and was not intended for human use. I did read about limited, voluntary use in humans (there was a club in Europe somewhere that gave discounts or special offers to people who had one), but it never really caught on.

It's an RFID chip. They have been around for over a decade now. Wal-Mart uses them on EVERY price tag in EVERY store so they can instantly know how much inventory they have and modify prices just by making a change to the database at HQ.

It's nothing new, and I don't think it's going to be used to take over the world.

Besides, 99% of the worlds population already carry personal tracking devices with them everywhere they go - mobile phones.
