They already exist... I've seen at least five varieties of the idea. I found them enjoyable, but I do think that reading for instance "Der Kleine Vampir" (that is, "The Little Vampire", or whatever it's translated into in English) for children is much more fun. Not to mention, the books are well- written and funny.

Samyra. They do. It's called, "The Charles Addams' Mother Goose." (Chas Addams, as you know, is the progenitor of "The Addams Family."
