Have you tried L-Tryptophan for your Insomnia?

I've had Serotonin before. I took a pill a night and they didn't work until I got to 3 pills a night then when I woke up in the morning it felt like someone hit me with a hammer... and that, I could do without.

No, not Serontonin..
Personally, I can't tolerate Seratonin by itself..
L-Tryphtophan naturally stimulates Melantonin & Seratonin in your brain, it's simply a Seratonin Pre-cursor(Amino Acid).
Personally Ambien worked best for me, because it has the shortest Half-Life and is out of my system the next morning without the pill hangover most sleeping aids give you.
GABA is also another amazing Amino Acid that works well for many things, including Insomnia.

I am on an Ambien diet.
All I can say is that there was nothing that would let me sleep like it before.
All I need is an entree of Ambien with a side of Sinequan and Luvox...
Knocks you out for at least 10 hours.

I remember it quite vividly. I was 20 years old. Whoever let you get that drunk should be ashamed of themselves(That means YOU).
Go home until you can be coherent, we're not here to hold your hand!

Yes, I do. I was 15, got wasted out of my mind. I was also surrounded by people that I trusted (I did that on purpose btw, it wasn't by accident) which ensured that it would be a fun experience and not one I would regret later.
Once again, just for your benefit, alcohol isn't a get-out-of-jail-free card to be used whenever you do something stupid.
Santarea, do you need any help carrying the honey and the fire ants?

WHen the car stopped, I was heaved out, stripped, and thrown out onto a hard, cold concreter floor. I heard them say stuff about a video camera.
For 2 or 3 days, nightly, they totally destroyed me. All I could hear was the deafening silence, their screams of pleasure, my own screams, or their haunting laughter.
Three yers after, I still get these anxiety attacks.
Me, being myself, I just can't understand the **** fantasies. I just go cold at the thought again. I've been r a p e d by people whome I still love. And its just, creepy, to think of them like that again.

On the other hand shit happens.
I believe her because she sounds like a reasonable person and what would be her reason to lie to a bunch of strangers other than to impress us.
Getting r.aped by multiple people is not a way to impress people.
Then again, I could be wrong. It's just my opinion.

When I get drunk or really bored I make freestyles even though I am not a real fan of rap. Sadly they sound pretty "bomb", but they are never serious. Gnomes, toothpaste, crocodiles, McDonalds and other things that come to mind.
Either that or parodys of songs I hear at the time.
Sometimes I have to much free time.

To pull such painful events from my head in such a frequent manor is an unfathomably dark place to be settled in such an open manor, especially with so many unknown elements involved.... unless, in a pathological fit, I assumed my farce would gather undeserved attention and sympathetic pity. But that's just me.

So, he and I were good friends
And, so..... ummm..... yea, and I still keep it.....
And we're also still friends
That was so stupid even for myself

It's not a way to impress people, but a way to gain sympathy, maybe? Perhaps she feels that she doesn't get enough attention as it is around here. She sure as shit wouldn't want to become a cam-whore and have us get onto her like we did to Ecluis(sp?) and Ties. So constantly bringing up her X or being ***** sounds like a better way to gain friends?

cannibalnuns - I always cry when i listen to Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever" and Till Tuesday's "Voices Carry".
I won't say I cry, but I've actually always been quite moved by "Voices Carry." It's a great song. I just found out that Aimee Mann married Michael Penn, and they are still actively producing music together. That makes me happy.
And it occurs to me that I never appreciated the tragic irony of "Who Wants To Live Forever" until now. Thank you for that. Santarea - So I quit. I was no longer helping, I was enabling. I do the hotline instead. But it is there, too. Repeat callers. Not ones needing additional help or referrals- but the ones who elaborate for the sympathy and attention. It is a real thing. Like hypochondria or (forgive the spelling) Mancheusen's syndrome.
I got that sense too. I have had the thought that either there was too much detailed elaborate drama to be real, or a person who had experienced that much negativity should not be trying to get their therapy here. And enabling is the word I chose to use when I spoke of it. But I suspect, as with the rabbit's and other types of misfits, that you can't hold a public forum for anonymous discourse without a regular appearance of these types.
I keep wrestling with whether I should feel anger, pity, sorrow, disdain ... and ultimately I've decided none of the above. After a lot of experience with 12-step programs and mental health issues in abundance, I know that all help, all change begins within.
Or as grandma used to say "The Lord helps those who help themselves."

Santerea that is sound advice. Who needs therapy when we have you?
Here's an interesting one: And it's not so much me sharing something about myself but something someone shared with me about me with regard to this site. It brought up an interesting question about image.
This person, who is no longer a member of gnet, suggested very strongly to me that my recent re-participation in the fun of the site has been mostly effort to repair a somehow damaged "imaged" and that I've portrayed myself with, perhaps false, bravado and "tough guy". He seems to feel that I'm here for the image and ego boost.
Do you guys think there's any truth to that? Do I, or any of us, even have an "image" that can be broken or repaired? Do I really come off as trying to be a tough guy? Ever?
Personally I don't think so. This may be a public forum but we are not public figures so I don't see image as an issue. As far as the rest I simply am what I am. I laugh, I joke and I flirt and occasionally you get some seriousness out of me. I would think that if people were suspecting that I was somehow artificial in the way I presented myself I'd either get flamed or ignored. Neither of which seems to be the case so... what do you think?

Manimal, I'm fairly new here still, but what I've gathered from your posts is hardly superficial. I get the impression that you're a pretty fun, outgoing, playful and sweet person (my favorite, btw). I also have had the pleasure of seeing EPS post here quite often. EPS choosing a superficial and machistic person as her SO would contradict the good impression that she has left with me.
The whole thing is laughable really.

It sounds like you're making a cult
Just be goth and have goth friends, and I hope you also have some non-goth friends

Manimal, you're the same now as when I joined. Sure you're a little more comfortable and open now, but after a couple years who won't be?
