What sin condones genocide?
Don't forget. Those genocides didn't include just grown men and women. It also included the children and babies and even cattle.
What sin could a child commit that deserves the sword of a soldier?

Now then, first of all, I brought goth into this mostly for clarifying that my interests in goth and Satanism do not have anything to do with each other. This is mostly to try to avoid feeding the stereotype, as I do hate the way goth seems to be so damn scary for people who don't get it - so, you could say that I added that bit mostly for Pothead and any other people like him who might care to stop by or stumble upon the thread while googling something.
As for my beliefs, I don't really care what you think. But for the sake of making this clear once and for all, I was joking when I referenced LaVey's book - I have never owned one, although I have read it a few times, I agree with you that it is not a particularly good book. I have never been affiliated with CoS, and never will be, as their brand of Satanism does not mesh well with my scholarly disposition - especially their romantic notions about certain parts of their mythos about Satan that are well- known in academic circles to be just plain wrong, seen from the viewpoint of a cultural historian. Also, I dislike their pompous behavior in general - they're almost as bad as certain christian groups, which makes them just a little bit ridiculous in my eyes. I prefer not to be associated with any group or doctrine that somebody else has defined, and rather try to use the image of Lucifer/ Satan/ whatever other names he has that fits the occasion to help me reach my full potential as a human being. Among other things, obviously.
