Was just checking out a documentary on the Book of Kells when I came across this DIY on how to paint jewelry pieces using gilder's paste. Thought I would share it.

I used to be into a little bit, but I no longer have equipment or a workshop.

Small stuff anyway, making scraps of chain mail and bangles by lost wax method. It was someone else I knew etching celtic stuff into metal with acid.

The only metal I really work with is wire, I've wanted to get into etching but I hardly get around to the crafting that I already know how to do.
