Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

BFMV are Metal, they're just so abominably terrible that we constantly try and separate ourselves from them by making up a handy genre called 'False Metal', where we can put any band we don't like.

I hate myself for saying this, but I think BFMV is alright, But I don't think they're true metal, more like scremo.

I wish I could bring back real metal, like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, or Pantera, I know they still play, but we've got to face it, the era of good Metal has passed, all we can do is refuse these "fake Metal" bands as you put it and just listen to the good stuff,

From the BFMV I've listened to, it sounds kind of like a resurrection of Hair Metal with emo mixed in.

The ungoth-iest artist I own (because I really don't listen to it much anymore) to is possibly Ayumi Hamasaki. I also have one Britney Spears mp3 because it gets stuck in my head now and then and I don't want to hunt for it on the internet.

Black Sabbath, Coven, and Blue oyster cult are badass, But they're more like a prototype for metal imo, sort of like the link between hard rock and metal.

Come on, that meme died ages ago.
I love Elliot Smith. I mean Elliott Smith. Why do I want to spell his name like that?

Hmm... I'm a (closet) Backstreet Boys fan, as embarrassing as that is to admit ^^;
And there's some Irish and Scottish trad music I listen to, as well... Old Blind Dogs are AWESOME!!
... AND there's the matter of the humongous JPop playlist I have on iTunes... >.> Jeez, I feel pathetic.

after every vamp night here I go to cube ( a gay bar) and they always play one or two of katy perry's songs. (I think that is her name)
I don't mind. By that time everything is ok and we dance to anything anyway
