Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I listen to a lot of un-goth artists... I have very eclectic tastes. I would have to say that probably the most un-gothiest (least goth?) is John Denver - whom I freaking love!

I love the stark contrast in sound and aesthete, between Goth and Eurobeat.

That's a silly concern, Cyanide. Just listen to whatever the heck you want, which for me coincidentally includes a ton of deathrock. Also, what's up with the username? I must've met a couple hundred cya-somethings back on vampirefreaks.

Billy Idol, My Chemical Romance (I dig the new album and their first one most.), The Beatles, GWAR, Tori Amos.
._. The only one I'm truly embarrassed about is Billy Idol, believe it or not. (If I hadn't discovered My Chemical Romance when I was ten, I wouldn't have become a little baby bat, and would never have evolved into what I am now.)

She and Him, iiO, Eminem. These are probably the least Goth, though I do listen to a fair few un-Goth artists.

@PorlNecklace: I was of course being heavily sarcastic when I asked about the Goth Card (which incidentally, as a gag, my husband and I both ordered one off the internets for like $1.50 so we both have one :') ), I listen to so much shit I don't even know what the hell the song is that my iPod lands on sometimes haha!
Ahh Vf...we've all been there, but my name was TeaAndCakeVomit :P Strychanine and raspberry tea is a Hannah Fury lyric, but I always have to look the S-word up so I can spell it >.< So I switched it up a bit

I can't remember if I've posted in this thread before........if I haven't, the list of non goth music I listen to is massive, well over half my entire collection. Some examples being Alice in Videoland, Freelance Whales, Animal Collective, Belle and Sebastian, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Of Montreal, Avi Buffalo, Bob Dylan, Strawberry Alarm Clock, I could be here forever listing them.

Well, since theres many sides of "Goth" and branches, Im mostly the EBM/Industrial- type. The most un-goth must be considered half of my music-library though, as a semi-Graver, I also have Makina and Rave, which I hear on a frequent basis, although recently Ive changed my frequency-listening to Dark 80's and Post-Punk, as well as the original "Goth" term in basis.
