Haha, well, you could have a point in that, but I'd rather have a simple T-shirt that has the word Ausgang in it than a fancy embroidery with the name Slipknot anywhere in it.

Haha, well, I wouldn't trust Hot Topic with the "current styles in goth"
There's a thread called New to the gothic fashion?
Or something like that. You might like reading it. Or we might continue this conversation elsewhere.

I am too old to know what this is.

Using L33t speak will cause strangers to appear at your door with incendiary devices, and you will be flamed. And trust me, there ain’t no Colonel Sanders Original Recipe, it’s all extra fucking crispy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So tell me....
WHAT is L33t?
L33T is a very funny way of typing that H4XX0RZ use to act cool.
1337 (l33t) means elite... And it's basicly replacing characters with numbers (l1k3 th15).
Well, it's logical. What kind of forum doesn't have rules?
Would you rather not be informed of the rules, and then banned for breaking any of them?
You broke multiple rules, actually.
You didn't use proper capitalization, you posted your intro in the wrong place, and you didn't answer the introduction question..
Is it me, or is Mael's giant post of 'Do not post in here unless it's relevant' missing?
Well, it certainly isn't taking effect. I'm not sure if it's there or not.
Now to my fellow "n00bs". Usually -if you're not a complete virgin to the gothic scene- it's easier to just add a comment to a thread that interests you (if you actually know something about it). Your status on this forum has nothing to do with your ability to not make a complete and utter fool of yourself. If that is beyond your scope of understanding :rolls eyes:, do what she said.
No offence lol, but weren't you being just a tiny bit harsh? We're not all idiots. (I hope...)
I totally agree with you. That almost makes me scared to even post anything. Besides I thought Goth was about accepting everyone for who they are. No "non-goth" is going to come to a Goth website in the first place (so, don't really need the idiot guide). If they do, It's probably just to gather information for yet another Goth book that tells pretty much the same thing in every book.
.......
And why is it like "if you want to whine about your life..." That comment makes people feel a little worthless. What the Fuck?!! Why the hell do you think people turn to goth in the fucking first place?! Because somewhere along the lines they got deeply hurt and/or has had to go through a really hard time, times that made you feel like you didn't even want to be alive anymore, like being six or eight feet underground is better than your life. With Goth you can somehow escape that all and feel understood.
Goth IS mainly about being hurt and angry which equals "wow, 'WHINING', what a concept".
Those rules make people feel bad right off the bat, just puts off a negative
Oh my how popular you'll be . . . *eye roll*
Regardless, I love the hypocrisy. "Goth's about being hurt! . . . Hey, you hurt my feelings!"
