Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

"Anything heavy" doesn't help. You can't give any examples?

Ahh. Sorry about that. Its not that I prefer heavier music to lighter music. I just find it more appropriate when I'm working out.
Theres a lot though. Anything on my ipod.
elvenking
steel attack
avenged sevenfold
hammerfall
system of a down
Stuff like that
When I'm not working out I like stuff like
Blutengel
voltaire
stream of passion

At some point, I used to put some experimental vibe in my way of exercising. I tried listening to Whitehouse. It worked, in a way, but when I started screaming at people around me stuff like "GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES" or "SHUUUUUUUUUUT THE FUCK UP" I realized this wasn't gonna be that cool.

I do too, funnily.
Also, as much of a loser as it makes me seem, Power metal.
Hammerfall, Dark Moor, Blind Guardian, Elvenking, Firewind, etc.

I love me some power metal. xD
None of my friends know any bands like what you mentioned, so it makes me feel unique. I love blasting it around my friends. They're like "wtf is this? Actually, its pretty good"

I tend to play Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue first. Oh La La by Goldfrapp is catchy, These Boots are Made For Walking (cover) by French Affair is a good one too it's my burlesque warm up :3
I also have some Emilie Simon as well but as a Canadienne french is easy.
Not many "gothic" songs can make me want to shake it the way these do.

I like to listen to this drum and base crew called concord Dawn.
The high b.p.m. with the syrupy sweet pop confectionery feel just seems to make me run better.
