Has there ever been a movie with dragons that was actually good?
I suppose this means I ought to knit something Potterish for my fangirl friends.

On a more related note - how do you guys rate Let Me In compared to Let the Right One In?

Its hard. Let Me In was such a direct remake in some regards, and yet accomplished some things a lot better. The only thing I can say that Let The Right One In did better I think was dubbing Eli's voice, I thought it was fantastic. And Eli herself looked more like I pictured her to in the book. So I guess I'd say Let Me In was better, if only because it made more sense and had better effects.

I just watched "The Descent."
It's been awhile since I've seen a decent horror movie. I enjoyed it.

Inherit The Wind, I think its a new favourite. Its based on the 1925 Scopes trial, which was when a teacher in Tennessee was arrested and tried for teaching evolution. Wonderful acting, wonderful dialogue, and while bits are fictionalized, the real case was pretty sensational. The defense really did put the prosecutor on the stand and grilled him about taking the Bible literally.
And there's Gene Kelly! Go watch it right now! Its on Google Video! Go!

Wristcutters. I avoided it because it seemed so stupid when it came out, but I actually really liked it.

I watched Alien 3 last night. In my opinion it is the worse of the four but I do like the setting of it. An abandoned refinery located in the arsehole of nowhere staffed by a small group of socially maladjusted miscreants who have bonded together in the name of survival and have completely disowned the outside social structure - pure heaven for a misanthrope such as myself.

Ditto, I think it's one of the best ones in the series.

The latest Harry Potter movie. I still need to watch the others and it's been years since I've read the books, so I was a tad lost.

If that movie were a chick, I'd fuck it no matter WHAT she looked like.
