I'm actually offended on two levels here.

First, why does there have to be a 'Christian' goth site? Is a normal goth site un-Christian? Thats what the title implies. It's like if I setup a WHITE goth or MENS goth site - I am actively discriminating against a group of people, at the same time saying I think other goths do not share some quality which I feel the need to emphasize by adding it in the title of the site.

Are Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists not welcome there as well? Why is segregation needed?

I mean, who appointed that person as moral dictator of all things goth anyway? I didn't vote for them.

Second there is the 'Christian' thing. I am Catholic. Looking around there I see it is not a Catholic site, it is based on more on Protestant evangelical (i.e. American Jesus) based Christianity, another thing I find offensive. It is a very secular and restrictive style of Christianity which preaches hate, segregation, and of course shows a clear lack of tolerance. Again, who decided that when they said 'Christian', they really meant right-wing evangelically nut-job Christians like the ones in the movie Jesus Camp? Again, myself and a large portion of people who would fall under the heading of Christian are left out due to intentional segregation and discrimination on that website.

It takes a real eejit with a total lack of intelligence as well as a personal bigoted bias to set up something as divisive as that site there.

It's precisely what happens when the more intolerant and narrowminded factions of society realize that the groups that they rail against actually have something that they like, so instead of admitting that their own misguided judgments were wrong, they simply try to co-opt the culture and mannerisms of the hated group while adding the patina of their own "acceptable" group to it. Gospel rap, anybody?

Right, fail me >_< In Denmark, the time format is different from what is displayed here. It is Day/Month/Year as opposed to Month/Day/Year, and so I must've managed to confuse myselv.

that may be a little extreme for what you said, but it's not an oxymoron. Goth is not a religion. I myself am a christian, and a goth. Just because I love the dark am macabre doesn't mean I can't be a christian. I know goths who are Jews, Muslims, Mormons, atheist, and A satanist.

Not really. There are gothic people of all faiths. The insult is that when you create a site called "Christian Goth", you are implying that Christians are automatically not goth and that goths are automatically not Christian. Many goths are Christian. Creating such a website is a slap in the face to goths who are already Christian because of the underlying implications that it carries. If you're dark, you're dark. If you're goth, you're goth. It doesn't matter what the religion is. There are lots of intolerant Christians (and members of other faiths) who label anything dark as evil, and they rail against anything or anyone who champions the dark side. However, most of these people are stupid, and they would still be stupid regardless of what they believed in or followed. There is nothing wrong about a Christian goth site. Just because Christian Goth's want a site they can go to & not have to suffer anti-Christian abuse doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

Sure alot of "Christians" are intolerant of others peoples views or lifestyles doesn't mean the religion is bad or all Christyians are bigots. That said I'm not a Christian but lean towards it. I most likely will convert to Judaism though.

If you don't like the site don't go there .

most of us aren't saying there's anything wrong with the site, just that it's unnecessary. The sight does seem to act like being a Christian goth is different form being any goth, or any Christian for that matter, when it doesn't.
