Hello? Is this thing on- oh, hi!

So... As you may have already been able to tell, my (nick)name is Black Ice. To summarize, I'm an 18 year-old Art Direction student from the UK who likes most things that are deep, dark and disturbing.

Questions...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

I study Art Direction (Year 1 BA) and I spend the rest of my time either reading, writing, or doing something else future-career related. Such as experimenting with photography, music and just... art and design as a whole.

2. Where are you from?

My parents.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Stephen King

4. What are your favorite films?

Lost Highway, Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Star Wars Saga, Lord of the Rings Saga, Metalhead, and *films I cannot think of right now*

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

Wedding? Well... ugh... That would depend too much on what me and the "bride" would want to torture our families with.

6. At your funeral?

Coma Black - Marilyn Manson

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Either by my own hand or in a lover's arms.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

Plain black or grey.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

A black jacket, jeans and army boots.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

I don't.

11. What's your favorite band?

Usually whatever I'm obsessed with at the time, which in this case would be Nine Inch Nails + Siouxsie And The Banshees, Bauhaus and Marilyn Manson if I feel like it.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

I have A levels in Photography, Graphic Design, Art and Design + an AS in Fine Art. At the moment I'm studying for my BA in Art Direction.

13. Why did you join?

I'm miserable.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

Male, Straight. 6"5' (197cm) tall. Long, brown hair (a la Jim Morrison), brown eyes. Slim and pale. (what a surprise)

Welcome to GN Black Ice. It's great to have more creative people joining. I too one studied graphic design, art, life drawing and photography but that was way back in the 80s. Great to meet you.

oh you dont get black ice on those back roads out there? It is a type of ice you cant see at night, aka black ice.

Oh right! I knew what black ice is, but I didn't see your connection between "black ice" and "lost highway", I see what you did there now. :P

(the idea for my nickname came from Cliff Burton's death (Metallica's former bassist), as the bus they were travelling on overturned due to black ice somewhere in Sweden during 1986)

Or rather, the bus driver claimed it was due to black ice, but none was found on the site of the accident. So I kinda took "black ice" as a metaphor for a sudden, untimely, unexplained death, and then figured it would make a good nickname/pseudonym.
