Sure, some natural remedies work. You know what happens to those ones? THEY BECOME FUCKING MEDICINE. Chewing on roots isn't gonna do a fucking damn thing, despite what retards who work in health food stores will tell you. Firstly, because in ALL cases, there is NEVER ENOUGH of the curing element in what it is you take, secondly because what you take for it is, essentially, a shitty fucking version of it. Scientists take those natural chemicals, make them the God damn Ferrari of natural medicine through lengthy processes, and cram enough of it all into one pill or syringe to keep your face from falling the fuck off. Don't you think it's in the interests of the people at yr local health food store to tell you that chewing on a leaf will solve all your ills? Shit balls, if all it took was a fucking leaf, don't you think that the medical industry, being the huge business it is, would seize that and milk those leaves for all they were worth? World class scientists are being out-smarted by fucking Holland & Barrett? I don't think so.

Also, self-diagnosis is one of the dumbest, most reckless thing a person can do. Even doctors don't diagnose themselves, and I'm not talking your local scraped-knee doctor, I'm talking cut you the fuck open and give you a robot ass doctor. Fucking geniuses. Even if you're a cancer specialist, you do not diagnose yourself if you think you have cancer. So, to put it bluntly, some schmuck like you who thinks health food will stop a limb from falling off has no business diagnosing yourself. Ever watch House M.D.? Yeah, diagnosticians work pretty much exactly like that. Different conditions, illnesses, diseases and viruses can have the exact same symptoms. You get enough shit backed up your butt, as obvious as figuring out what's wrong with you, has all of the symptoms of several diseases and viruses. But then, you have to contend with, well, do I just not get enough fiber in my diet? Or do I have a parasite? You look on the Internet, congratulations, you have AIDS now.

TL;DR:

Trust your doctor, but go get multiple opinions, and return all the shit you bought at the health store. Rubbing tofu on an infection won't do shit but make your meat taste terrible.

Azareal Crow -Thank you for even considering the possibility! (about doctors making a mistake every once in awhile.)

Also, as I've said multiple times >.> I'm going to get a blood test done. Actually I'm doing that tomorrow.

Mainly this post was meant to clear my head at the time because of my fears. At the very least, if I do have this it's not fatal. And I'd certainly rather have that than cancer or a permanent version of staph (which doesn't even sound possible....)

I realize that it's probably something else, but regardless it's something similar. My only hope here is that it isn't permanent, like some kind of fungus or something, so I can kill it.

Of course I'm going to laugh if I'm correct and it is the infection I mentioned here, but if I'm wrong I'm wrong- what do I care? This was a rant thread not a sympathy thread.

Anyway, thanks again for not being a smart-assed black and white thinker Mr.? Miss? *feels stupid for not checking first* Crow. ^_^

No problem love, It's Mrs/Miss Crow by the way, I've had people in my family misdiagnosed before and thankfully it wasn't fatal, although one of my sisters can no longer have children because they downplayed the problem and caught the true problem too late.

I hope that whatever you might have is not serious.

JCC self diagnosis is only stupid and reckless if you don't go and see a professional once you think you might legitimately have something. We can't go running to the doctor every time our finger hurts, that's why they make the information available to the general public so we may know when something is serious enough to warrant a visit to the doctor or if it's something that happens and can be treated without a visit.

Did you just make the connection between going to a doctor for a bad infection and going to a doctor because yr fingy wingy hurts? Are you that retarded? Of fucking course you don't go to the doctor because your finger hurts, unless the thing is broken or hanging off or something. That's when you use common sense. I actually have no response for how retarded your post is.

Do you always take everything so literally? obviously I'm using that as an example and I'll admit it was a bad one. I was merely trying to point out that trying to get an idea about what's going on with your body is not a stupid thing.
Some people do use every small excuse to run to the doctor instead of actually trying to figure out if it's really worth the trip or if it's even necessary.
I supposed you would have liked if i used some thing more like your ass itching instead of a hurt finger, hu?

I don't see how I made a connection between a bad infection and hurting your finger. My statement was a response to your opinion on self diagnosis, not her infection.

I wouldn't waste your breath- I'm pretty sure he has the thinking capacity equivalent to that of a dead shoe lace. Judging by the fact that he can't hardly say a sentence without cussing- he's probably considerably more retarded than anyone or anything he's barked "You're ******* retarded" toward.

A dead shoe lace? assuming they could live where would one find a living shoe lace?

Cursing is not a sign of low intelligence. That's just a slur rich people used to seperate themselves from 'peasants' in the past. Pretty fucking sad.

Live, mutant shoe laces....they exist somewhere in a world that might not be this one, but they do live somewhere...I'm sure of it!

Anyway-one should not have to curse, multiple times, in every sentence they speak. More than anything it's a habit- but no matter who you are, stupid or no, it makes you sound/look like you don't have the vocabulary of a 3 year old. (Actually, I'd say it's equivalent to saying the word "like" every sentence.)

Mainly I was knocking his ability to cuss as well as his posts in my previous post though. I have nothing against cussing if one knows how to cuss, but when you're a retard it shows.

JCC - I'm interested in the medicine that will stop my face from falling off.

I would like to state for the record that I have nothing to do with the Hendra or lyssavirus Viruses.

And I have self-diagnosed myself and been correct.

Neslyn: Cursing or not, I believe that JCC has a very good point, and I really must say that I agree with him. [Just because someone uses a lot of curse words doesn't automatically make them incorrect or stupid.]

Waiting so long to get a proper diagnosis for such a dire problem is a bit ridiculous. Trusting the health food store over trained medical professionals who can actually help you is just refusing to accept that you need real medical attention.

You may be perfectly correct about what you have, and you can tell your doctor(s) what you suspect it is, and make them run tests on it.

Me personally, there's no way in hell I'd wait several months for a problem of that magnitude to fester and grow. x_x;;; That's just waaaaay too gross!

I don't HAVE to cuss, I LIKE to cuss, in the same way you seem to like being a chump. On that note, what FUCKING three year olds do you know that cuss so GOD FUCKING DAMN much?

And then we have you starring out the word "FUCKING" which makes you look like an even bigger douche. You know what pisses me off? That misplaced Miss Manners sensibility, especially when so FUCKING overtly BULLSHIT like yours.

You have a problem with the word FUCK, but not with calling someone a retard as a put down? DICK.

Well guess what... I went to the doctor today, they did a swab *not a blood test* and told me that it was HS. I was quite correct in what I self diagnosed myself with. And I'll say it again one last time, I did not do this without other opinions and medicines. And I never let it just fester and grow.

Call me what you will, but realize that sometimes things aren't as they appear. :P

Alchemie, Neslyn said the doctors were mis-diagnosing it as a staph infection, when it was actually the incurable disease Hidradenitis Suppurativa, which was confirmed in Neslyn's most recent post. That misdiagnosis itself would warrant this thread, but the disease is serious enough on it's own.

Rather than disparaging what is a legitimate concern by a person who wanted a place to complain for a few minutes and correctly chose our "Whining" section to do so, if you want attention for your condition just start a new thread about yourself. Because there's always someone who's got it worse ... there's no point in saying that.

Neslyn: I'm glad you finally got a proper diagnosis. =) Hopefully this will lead to treatment to where it will at least feel better.

alchemie: What Ben said. Considering Neslyn had maggots she has to pick out of feet, Imma gonna say there's not much that's worse than that, unless you have AIDS or something...

FAIL. I am so NOT whining, and I am NOT wanting attention. PLEASE. I got enough of it back in the late 90's when I was a GBOTW, Goth Tart and all the rest of that shit. I'm just saying that what I have, which is Multiple Sclerosis, is far worse than an annoying skin condition. I would SOOOOOOO trade any fucking day. And this is a website where we can say what we want, and I will say whatever the fuck that I want, thank you very much.

I mean, I am sorry that you took what I said the wrong way, and the fact that this person has what they have but I didn't mean any harm. I'm always hearing people say that they have something so bad, and almost always its something that isn't as bad as what I have, and I always says that I'd trade with them any day. Like that would happen though anyway.

-Multiple Sclerosis sucks... but zombies don't want to eat my brain.
