I just finished watching the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie. It's the first movie ever that's made me scream of fright/ surprise. And it happened several times. *shudders* Razorblades.... *shakes head*

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

I've seen bits of it on Comedy Central but never the whole movie. Now, I can say with utmost certainty that it is the stupidest lamest movie I've ever seen and I like it u-lut. Does it make me a dork if I have the hots for Robin of Loxley?

Matrix two -- my husband and I watched the Matrix the night before and then Matrix two- last night - I told him that he has to buy the third to make it an official Matrix viewing experience (he hated the third one because he felt Humans ended up as b*tches to the machines) But he can't own just two movies from a trilogy, right -- so he'd getting it tonight so we can watch the final ones -- it is interesting when you watch them again -- you catch things you didn't before --like--good trivia question -- what's Neo's real name....?

The Lost Boys

Alas, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, a bit cheesy.

I don't remember the last movie I watched. I think it was Star Trek VI. Right now I'm watching through the X-Files seasons. I'm on season three right now.

Over the weekend I saw Black Sheep, Jacob's Ladder and the Breakfast Club. Just this morning I watched Platoon in English class.

All very good movies. The Breakfast Club was just as awesome as I'd heard it was (and I now understand why I'm always being compared to Alison - and not only because we share names).

Jacob's Ladder has made it officially into my favourite movies of all time. The gurney scene has got to be one of the scariest scenes I've ever watched - and I've seen a lot of scary movies.

Gosh...I have not seen Jacob's Laddor, but heard it was good.

I saw recently The Man Who Fell To Earth. Some of it was stunning, the other half was rather..well, unsatisfying.

Saw the Halloween remake, but you all know what I thought of that.

The last movie I watched, however, was Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Good goth..Well, I recently saw Fright Night and while it wasn't as good as I remembered it to be, it was enjoyable

And, maybe if I get the freedom and am not taken away, I shall soon be viewing Jubilee from the mastermind known as Derek Jarman !

The last movie I sat down and watched was "The Fifth Element."

I really love how quirky that film is... it's like Star Trek on crack. Plus, in my opinion, I think it was one of Milla Jovovich's best performances--once she took up the role of Alice in the "Resident Evil" movies, I'd have to say she sort of slipped down the drain.

But, yes, I'll stop rambling.

Stupid in many places, funny in others. Definitely what can be described as, "Dumb fun."

I saw 'La Vie en Rose' over the weekend. I hadn't heard anything about it until I bought the tickets ('it's a song about that singer person' one of my friends said, haha).

It was absolutely beautiful. I almost cried at the end, and that doesn't happen too often. I was very impressed by the way it was able to jump about through time and yet still retain it's flow. It definitely brought me a newfound appreciation for Edith Piaf.

Pan's Labyrinth.

Fuckin' awesome. What an eerie storyline and a macabre ending. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it showing both the harsh life or reality and the easy-go life of imagination in the fairytale world.

That army captain was a right bastard! But he got his due in the end... I will say no more.
Fantastic film. A definite must see, as it is a wonderfully original idea that makes you feel there is hope for the film industry yet!
I didn't like the end though. I mean, the very very end. Like the last 5-10 seconds or whatever.
I felt a bit... "Oh, is that it? That's nice I guess... O_o"

But yes, go and see it foo'!

I have just watched Mirrormask, it was fun and different. Wasn't as good as Pan's Labyrinth, but if you like Jim Henson and his crew's work, not to mention a very original world, it's worth a look in.
There are some wonderfully mesmerizing scenes in it. Like the orbiting giants and the library and when the clockwork dummies come out and sing "close to you" in that hypnotizing way...
It was fun.
