Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Goth backpack?
The strap broke on the bag I use for school, and since I've had to repair rips and such countless times, I've decided to just replace it. My old bag was a Ruby Gloom backpack. I really liked it, but it's impractical to go on using it, as the material has been ripped and repaired so many times, it's too weak to hold my folder. Anyway, I noticed that a lot of people were calling my bag emo. I didn't really mind, but since I'm getting a new one, I want to make sure I don't get another emo looking one. I considered just getting a plain black one and decorating it, but I'm terrible at that kind of thing. So, I'm trying to find a bag that looks unmistakeably goth, that's not too impractical or over the top. So uh, any ideas?

There are those that look like caskets, but imho that -is- over the top in most instances. What about just a basic black one and then cover that with pins, patches and paint?
Edit - oh, sorry, can´t have read your post right the first time around. Sorry :P

Plain black sounds good, does your backpack really have to look "goth"?

Not neccesserily, I just want a "dark" one that doesn't look emo. And I would prefer to just decorate a black one, but I don't really have the time. At the moment I'm just carrying by folder around, so i kind of need one ASAP.

I'll be killed for this, but I'm not really into Bauhaus in a big way. I like them, but they're not one of my favourite bands. I'll look into band merch though.
