Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

These are in the pic thread...
But they should probably go here too.
Warning: Each of these photos contains a total of three mohawks, adding up to 2 fans and 5 spikes, if you have heart problems or are pregnant, do not consume these images. Keep away from children under 36 months.

Nice HH.
I shaved my sides yesterday, which I'll dye purple (hopefully tomorrow). So when I actually put up the hawk, I'll post pictures. It's such a dramatic change from ass-length hair, but I love it.

What was used to dye the leopard-print pattern into the hair?

Do not make it too thin! It will fall the fuck over. Conversely, do not make it to thick, or it will never get up. Try spiking the hawk section of your hair before cutting, find a size you like. Also, invest in a beard shaver (with the mesh screen in front) if you want to keep the sides clean. The mesh prevents long hairs from being trimmed while trimming the fuzz.

My mate Lee has a 1cm thin hawk that's over a foot long, we manage to get that into spikes.
Depends how you do it.

My hawk is now entirely green with streaks of stubborn black in the tips. And it only took two days, three short bleachings and half a bottle of conditioner.

Does he look like a complete idiot? Because that description sounds like it.

Where are the pictures, korinna?
I don't think I've heard anyone call them by any common name before. Heard a couple of people's own ideas, side locks makes sense.

My boyfriend and I call them johnsons, he picked it up off the internet somewhere years ago. I like it because it makes no sense (perhaps a reference to Johnny Slut? Even though he didn't really have them, haha).
But every single one of my friends has a different name for them, including trigs, side-locks, bitch-burns, stupid-side-bits-that-people-with-deathhawks tend-to-have...
And good to see you've finally got a hawk, Korinna!

I was on the fence until basically the last minute, but I am so pleased with it. My trust in hairdressers has been renewed.

No more idiotic than any type of mohawk.
