"I'm not sure if I want to have a deathhawk.
Pros:
It would look awesome.
It would be fun and new.
It's the end of my senior year, people would remember me. :P
My friends think that it would look good.
Cons:
A LOT of people seem to have them.
Monies needed for good hair products to avoid looking like an idiot.
Small chance it might interfere with finding a summer job.
Would have to adapt my schedule and daily routine by giving myself more time to actually do my hair every day."-MissGracie
putting up a hawk shouldnt cost you any more than a $2 bottle of Aquanet, and i assume you own a blow dryer

Woo! I shaved it myself last night, and it looks great. I didn't wear it up today, just pulled back. My friend says if I don't have it up tomorrow he'll strike me :P I really like it and I'm happy I went with it.

Malice, that hawk you have, how exactly did you do that?
That looks pretty good, so I would like to try that.
I sure have enough hair to do it now, hehe!
Thanks mate!

A fuckton of hairspray.
And a hairdryer on coldddddddd.
Generally I need someone to help me hold it up too.
But I can do it on my own, it just takes longer.

Get some clippers and just do the sides of your head. Probably easier if someone else does it for you though so it's straight. I've never tried shaving my own hair.

Shaving your own sides is only really difficult the first time. Once it's been done, you already have guidelines where to shave, and just use two mirrors so you can see the back o' yo head.

I've been thinking of getting a deathhawk for about eighteen months now and I've finally gotten sick of having long hair, It doesn't look that good on me anymore since I lost some weight and my face looks longer as it isn't as chubby.
So I'm likely going to get it cut this week and wanted to know if you guys think a hawk would suit me? If not I'll have to think of something else.
Hair down, this is it straightened, my hair is quite thick and wavy and a lot of strands seem to 'flyaway' from the main body. Straightening is the only way I've been able to get it looking decent.

Tied back, how I've been wearing it for nearly two years.

Excuse how awful I look, I don't like having photo's taken and can rarely smile in them or even just look natural.

Let it get wavy and fly away and stuff. it'll look way nicer.
Besides, if you want a deathhawk, you've gotta crimp the fuck out of your hair.

Just got my hair cut, It's a rather poor attempt. I'm having trouble keeping it up and when it is up it looks shit, I think the main problem is that the hairdresser teased it in big clumps rather than small sections, there might be too much hairspray on the ends as well. I might try crimping it sometime. I'll wash it out and try again tomorrow.

I haven't worn my hawks up in frickin' ages.
I'm trying to grow them so I've had them trimmed fairly recently and I'm not using any products on them other than shampoo and conditioner.

*dribble*...hang on ....*rattles the man cupboard *...yes yes you're still in there, the boobytraps are holding well...
On a less pervy old woman note, I went to college with a chap with very similar hair ( but with more/smaller spikes ) . Although my friends and I would sometimes amuse ourselves by sticking bits of paper inbetween the spikes when he wasn't looking :-P

Ok, so I can get my hawk up to some degree but is doesn't look right. My hair clumps together in thick bunches and they sort of separate from each other giving this weird exploded look and most of them droop down, it looks nothing like the big mass of hair I see on other deathhawks. Is it something I'm doing that's causing this or is it just something to do with my hair?
