I wear black because death excites me, and black reminds me of death and everything dark

I would have to say that goths wear black because they don't like to blend with the mainstream. They want to be different but not in a wanna be position. They wear black becasue it's just the best way to look not-like-everyione-else.

I don't think it's "just to be different" but also as a way of getting a message across. I mean, we all have our own stories. It's up to us to dictate how we will tell them.

I really don't think you have to wear black to be a Goth. It is simply something that is associated with Goths because of a majority that never seem to wear anything else. Personally, I do wear quite a lot of black but I wear other colours too. I don't wear black to make a statement, I wear black, because I liked that item of clothing and it happened to be black.

I agree totally. I have friends that to them being 'Goth' is wearing nothing but black, others think it's all about the music and nothing else. I just think its what you inside feel and think. What is outside is less important than what is inside.

Damned stereotypes. Like the 'all blondes are stupid' one. I know some very intelligent blondes.

I do believe that we were never debating that they didn't. I was merely illustrating another false seteotype which was then taken further.

I extremely loathe stereotypes. Not the name, but what they stand for.

Lbelling is fun! You can dress up as a fairy and point at people with your wand calling them names. eg., 'punk' 'goth' 'prep' 'raper of elephants' etc
