Yay. A new shirt I made. It's simple as hell, but I love it.

I'm thinking I could add more, though. Like the red stripe across the lightning in their actual logo.

I believe that I shouldn't make a new topic when my information here is perfectly suited for this one.
Buuuuuuuut.
I'm doing work experience at Oxfam for two weeks.
And the manager learnt that I enjoy DIYing clothes.
So she's asked me to design and make some clothes out of the Oxfam stock to sell on the website.

I'll try and get some pictures when I get further with my ideas.

Over and out.

That is really awesome, I'm sure you will make some fantastic stuff

I made a lovely necklace for my mother but completely forgot to take a pic so I will have to do that this week, I'm really proud of it (which is good cuz it took about seven hours to finish)

Why thank you.
Also that sounds awesomee.

Me and my friend are planning to make jewelry to sell out of junk and stuff.
I've knocked up some stuff from the insides of watches and bits stolen from school science departments.
It's all good=]

When I was in high school, my sister and I got our wisdoms pulled within a couple weeks of each other. I kept the teeth (even hers, heh gross), cleaned them up, put clear nail polish on them, and made a necklace and earrings out of them. I never got so many WTF comments from that jewelry as anything else I wore, but after the initial shock wore off, people of all ages loved them. I wish I still had them. They were among many of the precious possessions I lost after I split up with my first ex (he trashed my stuff).

I've just completed my very first DIY project.

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...flamepants.jpg

I first bleached the pattern onto the legs and then painted scarlet Rit onto the bleached parts. They faded a bit more in the wash than I would have liked, but I'm happy with how they turned out.

I need to get some batteries for my camera before I start putting up pictures of all the jewelry, accessories, articles of clothing, and such my mom and I have made.
But, my mom and I made the dress in the pictures I recently posted from Jacon and I made the mask. (I posted them in the picture post) Hmm...

Look, you should be able to take your dreads, line them up and thread some lace or string through them. Then, if you can imagine it, when you tie the dreads around the base of your bun, some dreads will hang under the bun, while others will drape over the bun. You NEED only about 8 dreads minimum to cover a bun.

6 bags... holy shit. You need to talk to Saddiction.
I think I will go talk to her...I'm just pretty shy.

I think I have more then 8 dreads. o.O I'm not too sure. I'm also using a ruber band...prehaps I can start over with the dreads becuase I don't think I did them right at all. =/

Thanks, Solumnia. The photo isn't perfect and the colours aren't shown as they really are - bugles are silver lined mauve and seeds are very dark purple.

Fleur, I like the blue and white choker. Reminds me of garter.

Out of curiosity how long did those take you to make? I love to bead but I haven't attempted anything like that and I was wondering if I would have the patience for it

Oh, it depends. It takes about half an hour to make these earrings, two to three hours for the first three necklaces, around four hours for the fourth necklace and several days and lot of patience for the last one. It's hard to keep 11 yards of thread from knotting.

I'm impressed and I don't really like beaded jewelry. Good work.

Cayca those are amazing, I think my fingers would fall off if I tried something like that

On another note I have awesome looking jeans because they were worn during painting so they had a bit of white (primer) and orange paint on them, the orange looked so fun that I ended up drizzling some more on them and so they are quite well covered in splatters

I got some splatters of lavender paint on a pair of jeans of mine in the course of art, and my mom tried to rub them out, but they were acrylic, so now a couple of the lavender splots have pale haloes around them...

I love DIY. For myself the recent addition to my wardrobe was a tank top that was too tight, so I added strips of black to each side seam, but instead of sewing them I threadded safety pin after safety pin along the edges, looks excellent. I have a shredded skirt in the works. I also took a pair of white tights and dripped ink and smeared it around, while wearing them, looks awesome, like zombie skin.
I've made leather cuffs, and leather bracelets, other cuffies with lace and crystals. chokers, and my fave, arm warmers.
I'll take some pics later.

My blue charcoal denim jacket is pretty much done. Zebra fur on the closing side, a Bloody Dead And Sexy DIY back patch, and two panels of spiderweb with a painted batcave logo on of the webs.

Ok just finished this Sisters FALAA era patch. Heavy cream cotton curtain backing topped with black lace, then topped with a stuffed leatherette patch painted with the old logo. Attached to my new velvet bag ( from a Charity/thrift shop for £2!! ) with good old safety pins....I may change them for smaller ones though . It's like a little Sisters cushion on my bag .
