Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

You HAND-CUT those?!?
Tell the truth... you're a deity, aren't you? I absolutely LOVE the font on the Siouxsie one, and there are no words for the others...

I love to DIY when I have the time. I dont really have pics. I have a ton of nice, holey jeans that I did myself. I have a pair of armwarmers out of toe sox that lace red. i have a tube top that I made out of...get this...the leg of an old pair of pants, lol. They were my stretchy, emily the strange yoga pants, but they got a hole in the crotch easily,. so I cut the leg off right below the knee. I slashed holes down the front. My sister wears it with a red fishnet top, a bright blue tank and then the tube top. soo cute. I have more Iv done, but I cant think this morning.

I *LOVE* the first pic--it looks like a painting, especially with the makeup.
The font's great on both tees; is that how you write on paper, or was it special for the shirts?

Its just for the shirts. I copied the logos of the bands. I figure I'll never find ones like them so I'll just make what I'm looking for.

Draconysius and Haunted House, your jackets and t-shirts are mine. Awesome bands, and awesome artwork.

The paint on my jacket hasn't cracked and it won't, either. The paint I used was really good and I covered it really thinly, but well.
Thank you, Cicero. I love to make my own stuff and knowing that people really like it tells me I did a good job.

Cicero, I can't imagine how the bloody hell you made those shirt stencils so perfectly, but you should put those for sale, man! I'd probably give fifty bucks for the Rozz Williams shirt alone!
Oh, and thanks for the compliments!

I'm almost done with this top...
I *LOVE* how it's coming along... but there are still a few mods I have left to make... I want to add detachable sleeves, and I'm trying to decide whether to use eyelets and lace to re-attach the bottom panel I cut off, or to say "screw the panel" and add layered ruffles using black lace fabric... I also want to use a different cross applique (sewn on and use the pins for accent--those pins are just for stability--it's not permanent yet...).
Oh yeah, and paint-stencil some song lyrics onto it, but I'm worried that it'll be a bit too "busy"... ::hint fastball!!:: (suggestions are welcome...)
It's all planned out here... but I'm so torn right now... ::agonizing::
I'll post pics of the finished top later (if I can finish it to my satisfaction)...

Black Butterfly - I love that thing ^. Keep up the good work, and, in my opinion, keep the writing to a minimum
At the moment I'm working on a pair of very long armwarmers; I've knitted the armwarmers and am busy crocheting laces a la 1800's fashion that trails along my fingers and peeks out of the jacket (if I'm wearing one). I'll post pictures when I've finished one of them. =)

How about I send one of you fine people some clothing and let you do with it as you please, then generously send it back?
If I tried DIY work, I'd end up with a mess. I can't do anything of that nature :-/

For lyrics, how about Evangeline or In Denial by The Mission UK, or Sacrifice by London After Midnight, or Thirty Whacks by The Dresden Dolls.
They seem cool lyrics for a shirt.

It's not much but I like it. I got the pretty little diamonte thing from my grandma and put it on some velvet ribbon. It does up at the back with press studs, I hate sewing them on but they work. I'll add some more stuff I've made tommorrow, my camera flash doesn't work very well so I need to take them outside.

Very nice!
At the moment I'm knitting a scarf with a hole in the right lower length so that the wearer can just tuck the other end into the hole instead of making a knot; I will probably add some white lace from an old curtain to it for decoration on the ends.

If I had my own server I would do that but unfortunately servers cost money and unemployed teenagers don't have money.

I am so old. I really didn't need the reminder of how ancient I am.
ON the bright side, I may not have a lot, but I DO have money. :-)

LOL - I love your sig, though I have to admit, the original is still the best - the original of course, was Gandalf the Grey, who said "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle, and quick to anger." :-)

You get cool points because you are old. Most people have outgrown their goth phase before they are 30, the fact that you're over 30 and just entering your goth phase is cool. Besides no one ever takes you seriously when you're a teenager, just because you're young you automatically know nothing. It sucks.
