Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I'm going to finish using the rest of my studs and stud down the sides off my vest maybe. We'll see.
I also made a peace sign patch for my pants and sewed it on there as well.

I'm currently making-over a couple of blazers I got from charity shops - one I'm going to patch and badge the shit out of. For the other one I've knitted a huge purple fluffy collar and I'm going to paint a band logo on the back (probably Diva Destruction).
I've also embroidered 'LOVE BITE' and 'GONE BATS' onto the knuckles of a couple of pairs of gloves I had lying around. Not very exciting...

Newspaper...
I am in an art studio class and we have to come up with 8 any-medium any subject pieces total along with our other projects. So I am making a skirt and acessories out of newpaper.
It will be a basic pleated skirt (because that is the kind I find easiest to sew), arm warmers (impractical since they won't be warm), and either a top hat or a giant hair bow. Maybe a tie or bow tie if I feel like it.
The stuff is really hard to sew and I am still now sure how to go about the buttons - i think I will add a strip of fabric inside so the buttons won't tear the newspaper on either side...
I will take a picture when I wear it. And I will have to wear it to school.

I have a rabbit skull, and a little short shitty "fashionable" leather jacket that I will do gods only know what to ( I won't alter my cheap as chips one because it's in amazing condition for the £25 I paid, barely worn and I refuse to fuck it up )
I will require.......paint.

I made a bleached Alien Sex Fiend Shirt, and a Christian Death Shirt the other week, but I still can't find my bloody camera.
I used the artwork from the Christian Death album Sexy Death God for the Shirt, came out pretty good too.

I made a hat today. I like the little point it has at the end, because it makes me feel like one of the seven dwarfs.

Oh, I made those pink things too.
And that shirt.
But you can't really see either that well, so they don't matter.

The hat's cool and all, it just doesn't go too well with the pink...

Haha, I wasn't trying to make it match or anything, I just happened to be wearing the pink thingers when I finished the hat and I was super excited to put it on. MY BAD. Gaaawd, I'm so fashionably illiterate. >=(

Cool stuff eveyone.
I'm going to make an effort to post my vest and pants on here in the near future. I'm Also thinking of making another vest, lighter fabric than denim and putting this as the backpatch:
or this:
Leaning towards Disclose, what do you guys think?

Put together a little a-line skirt with pleating in the back. Pretty cute.

I made a long, Victorianesque, black velvet coatdress lined with dark red satin for a masquerade ball I'll be attending...in September.

You guys need to post pics!
Look at what I just finished!
You can't see the aliens unless you look at the scarf at an angle, its awesome. Unless you're taking pictures and you have no one to hold the camera.

Very cool. How long did it take you to make?

I started to knit it on the 11th I think, but I took a break from it and got started on another scarf, and also didn't have time to knit every day. It wouldn't take me that long normally, when I did get to sit down and work on it I knitted an alien head a day, and there's only six.

Currently making a corset top out of some lingerie I found in the charity shop, an old T-shirt, a shoelace, and a pair of old socks. It's turning out quite well. =)
