Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Super simple, but I can already tell this is going to be my new favorite.

Outtake, in which you can only kinda see the pretty purple ribbon:
The time has come for me to go ahead and admit on the internet that I don't brush my hair. Sorry about that.

I finger comb it while it's wet, then put it in a bun for a couple hours. Then I take it down and forget about it until I'm yanking the knots out the next morning. I always feel like I look a mess. Rat's-nesty, even.

I put a lining into a Dead Man's Bones hoodie. Thinking about taking the pockets off and doing that as well, but I'm too lazy.

I thought it was cool idea, might try it the next time I can find wedges that fit.

Does anyone have any good tips for shredding pantyhose to get that cobweb look? I've been experimenting but so far have only managed to get holes without the pretty runs and shredded bits. Please and thank you

just put them on, and scratch up them the sides with a plastic card of some type. also, use a pair of nail scissors to make small shreds. Or, you could just wear them until they run for that authentic look....

Thank you. I had been using a seam ripper but I wasnt getting the desired affect. I will definitely try this when I get another pair of worn out or stained panty hose. (I feel too guilty about wasting money to do this to new pairs -_-' )

you can do the same thing to knee highs, if your outfit has long shorts or longer skirt. They come in "gumballs" for 33 cents a pair (at the local evil wal-mart). Another thing to do to put on the ripped pair over a pair of another color, shows the rips and whatnot more. Enjoy!

I just keep a few plastic bags and a pair of gloves handy. If you spot something one day, shunt it a bit more out of sight with your foot or a stick, go back for it after dark or the next day. Put your gloves on before leaving the house so you don't have to stand there and faff about with them. Just pick the body up and shove it quickly in the bag. You won't damage any bones doing that unless the thing is really smashed up to begin with.
If anyone asks, just say ART PROJECT and walk off. You don't have to explain it to anyone.
If you live in a block of flats then decompose in buckets or big plantpots. Do your flats have a communal garden area? If so then you can hide your body in your plantpots, and stick some cheap pansies on top or something so no one notices. You can be " weeding" when you dig bones up.
If you don't have a communal garden, but have some sort of planted area near your flats, bury it there in the wee hours. Most people will be asleep anyway. Just make sure to mark the area with a noticable stone or stick a bit of wood in the spot. Under a bush or something where most people won't notice.

I have seen just about every subject broached on this forum, but this is the first time I've seen detailed instructions for dealing with a corpse! I found it entertaining, and also very practical. Thanks Honeythorn!

Covered an old cell phone box in lace and mod podged a plastic bag with leopard print on the top and bottom. Thinking about putting a big bow on the front, but i don't even know what to use the box for.
Also i took pictures from last year's deranged cousins calendar and framed them for acollage-type effect on the wall in my bedroom.
Trying to learn embroidery but i'm a dumbass.

This is the second finished crochet project I've done, but I wasn't too fussy with the first (a beanie hat that I made way too big). Made them for a friend who works late nights in a cold office.
I'll get her to model it properly when I give them to her for my ravelry page, but I couldn't wait to show off XD It took me too long to understand crochet.
Yes my work shirt is ugly.

I'm not sure about the fabric dye, but you can get fabric paint in a spray bottle!
ETA: I'm not sure about the dye because if you're going from a darkish colour to a lighter, brighter colour, you need to lighten the fabric first, there's a product called Rite Color Remover that will do that.
After that, I know Tulip has some really bright colours including a red.

I made a rosary to give to my mom on Christmas.
I used a St. Anne centre, since she's the saint of mothers, but also because Mom's mom was an Anne, and her first name is Anne, and my sister's middle name is Anne. I got a Benedict crucifix which apparently has a medal of St. Benedict on the back, which means it has an indulgence for a happy death (he's the saint of the dying) so I felt really really weird using it, but she's an embalmer/funeral director so hopefully it'll make sense.
