I'm getting my third tattoo next week. It'll be on my left bicep and show a monkey holding a bottle of rum. I also have a shark on my right bicep and a Hawaiian tiki on my left ankle. Neither one really hurt - felt kind of like sunburn. I also have both ears and the underside of my penis pierced.

I had to take my lip ring out the other day. I got this canker sore near it and it wouldn't go away so I just took it out.

I really want a labret piercing. But I will have to wait until I get my braces off. So I guess I will ask for someone to buy me one for Christmas, lol.

Last Halloween I went to a friends party as Alex from Clockwork Orange, got completely hammered and woke up in Paris the next day sat in a car I had never seen before with 4 people only 2 of whom I knew. I think I won't go overboard on the Salmiakki this year. Still pondering what to go as this year.

I'm having a problem. I once had my eyebrow pierced and it eventually got infected and needed to be taken out. I also had my lip pierced and it got infected too. I also pierced my third holes in my earlobes and they needed to be taken out almost immediately. Now, even my first two earlobe piercings, which I've had since I was about twelve, are starting to reject. Is this normal at all to have this happening all of a sudden? I never used to have these troubles. Is there any way to prevent this?

It's possible you need to clean your jewelry very thoroughly. Other than that, I have no idea.

Everyday I drenched a q-tip in Bactine and washed the jewelry though. Perhaps I just need a different type of metal.

Definitely try a different metal, it sounds like you may allergic to whatever jewelry you have in now.

Also, antibacterials like bactine aren't too good for piercings, and seem to irritate them more than heal them. You're better off soaking them in a warm salt solution (1/4 teaspoon of un-iodised salt dissolved in a cup of water) a few times a day. Turned my mountain of blood, puss and crusty bits into a clean, happy ear hole in just a few days.

You know, my body didn't reject my two additional lobe piercings, and they were DIY even, but my body rejected stitches the last time I got them. Huh.

I went broke because of a tattoo
I did it with my ex-gf when I was wasted, and hten payed a fortune to have it removed by laser...

by the way, I had on one knee written "I'm tired", and on the second "me too"...
yes... it was dumb

So two days ago in a fantastic display of unbalance I managed to trip over ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and bash the left side of my head into a wall, causing some rather nasty trauma to one of the newer piercings on my left ear. The pain subsided after a while and I thought no more of it since my piercings have all undergone their fair share of trauma, mostly from over-enthusiastic huggers crashing their heads into mine. Then last night I noticed an enourmous boil-like growth (or hey, an actual boil) forming just above the jewellery, along with a secretion of attractive brown crust. It's basically just a squishy little fleshdome that appears to be filled with a mix of red and white blood cells and probably some pathogenic material too. Yummy.

Anyone have any advice on the best course of action for this? Burst it and let the bastard bleed out? Leave it the hell alone? Voodoo rituals?

I want to do something about it, just not something that'll fuck my ear up any more.

I've been soaking it in salt water every day, as most piercers seem to recommend, and the piercing in question is about 8 weeks old now.

If you have a strong stomach, cut the bubble off with a razor, and disinfect the area really well. If you have a weak stomach, just disinfect it and wait for it to go down.

Yesss, cutting it is what I instinctually have had the urge to do, just didn't want to go ahead and do it only to find it fucks it up even more with an open wound oozing all over the place. Time to get all disinfected and surgeon-like...

Thanks PortraitOfSanity.

Tragus didn't really hurt at all. I have a tattoo I did myself too.
It's small and does look like a prison tattoo though lol.

You're the first person I heard saying tragus didn't hurt... People here told me it hurts like hell.
I'm being a sissy about it since then and because all my piercings took aaaaaages to heal.

You made a machine to tattoo yourself or did it the old fashioned stick and poke way?
