How about you type in english. This includes capitalizing the first letter of the first word of every sentence. We call this grammar. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with it.

Yes. Yes it does.
I'm going to make this really simple for you. At the top of your screen, click "Boards."
Next, click "Introductions."
You will see the first two topics begin with the words "Sticky." Read both of those. If you don't know what to do from there, you're hopeless.

As the others stated, the less flesh or muscle between the area you're tattooing and the bone the more it hurts. Wrists, ankles, the spine, those places hurts like hell... most of the time.

I suggest an IQ test to accompany that Introductory post. All in favor?

I do think that the questions should be revised. I find some of the questions to be rather irrelevant.

Me! I'm in favour! Although if I had to take it I would most likely fail, it doesn't matter now though for I am already a member

And I hear that's an urban myth. It's areas where your nerves are concentrated that hurt the most. If the area is ticklish, there's a lot of nerve endings there, and it's going to hurt. But of course everyone's different, not everyone will find ticklish areas or close-to-the-bone areas painful.
And what's with all this "post an intro" nazi-ism? Give the guy a break. Seriously.

Exactly. I was told that the closer you are to the bone, the more concentrated the nerves. Makes sense to me. I'm sure it has a lot to do with a persons build as well.

If you've "kinda" always wanted to be a tattoo artist, you don't have the drive to get through the apprenticeship either. You should probably stick with drawing.
I'm intending to get a half sleeve, shoulder to elbow, on my right arm. Tiny little tattoos like rubber stamps just look so ugly IMO.
Not sure what I want though. I love tribal because of its bold intricacy, but the regular spiky Celtic-influenced swirly lines are just so overdone. Right now I'm leaning towards a lizard - an important animal to me - done with plain black ink, climbing up from my elbow onto my shoulder. Details would have cogs and serrated cog-tooth edges to the shapes, for my love of Victorian industry, and the aesthetic detail it would provide.

I totally agree. I have to have designs instead of objects. I've started a bio-mech half sleeve. The outer halve is done. Now I need to work on the inner half. WHen I save up more money, of course.

I have a star on my hip, wich will most likely end up the eye of a cat or a cat pawing at the star, im just not sure.
I also am getting http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...lady_sable.jpg as wings on my back in a month! so excited!

My armband near the underarm was actually the most painful. It is for most ticklish people, though.

Most people don't go all the way around with arm bands, you are a true man

I dont know about the sleeve thing because the only tattoo i have is homemade and i used ink and a razor blade to do that.
i have had both sides of my nose pierced and the first one i didnt feel at all and the second i just felt a little poke.
when i got my septum pierced it hurt a bit. i ended up passing out twice but it was so worth it. i think it was so funny that i passed out. :P

Let me be the first to say that you better hop over to the Introductions forum and post an intro thread as detailed in the Newbie Stickie.

And let me be the first to say that that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. I'm sure I'm not going to be alone in that sentiment, either.

Hey, some prison tats come out nice!
In fact, with a couple of exceptions, all of my professional tats resemble my prisons tats - all are nice. I was most impressed with myself when someone told me the other day I've got that tattoed look like Robert Deniro in Cape Fear.
