So...I was considering getting my nose pierced. I currently have only ear piercings, which I've had since I was like...10....or younger, I really can't remember. How long would I have to wait after getting the piercing to take it out? I figure I could get it when I go on vacation this summer (which would be for about a week), and have it healed up before I go back to work. I can't wear a nose piercing to work...

It /might/ heal before you go back, but even after it heals, putting jewelry in and out is going to irritate it.
Or you could always buy a clear retainer for it. They have ones that are almost invisible that you can wear to work and I'm sure no one would notice:P

Would switching between the jewelry and the clear retainer be likely to irritate it? And, could I just wear the clear retainer until it heals and then get jewelry to wear? I suppose if I can get a clear retainer to wear until it heals, I probably wouldn't have to wait until I go on vacation. I don't know how much a nose piercing costs though...I feel really clueless here, I know nothing about getting piercings.

Nose piercings in my area aren't too spendy.
I think it would be more irritating to wera something until it heals, take it out for work, and then puy jewelry back in,
then it would be to were two pieces of jewelry at all times.
You wouldn't constantly be stretching the hole beck up to put a nose stud back in.
Ya know?

Where did you get it?
Thinking about getting another industrial but i already tried it twice and it never worked out. Plus it hurts, probably more than any piercing ive gotten.

I would say if you aren't entirely worried about the pain you should try to do it again:P

I love my industrial!
Except for the fact that I'm having a hard time getting a good look at how clean it is.
On that note, I think I'd like to henna-indigo dye my hair before my man gets back. What is the easiest way to cover that ear from the dye?

Thanks PJ, I think wrapping it sounds like my best bet. I hope the stuff stays on!

If it doesn't, it's not really the end of the world. I wouldn't worry too much.
