Non-Gothic clothing styles
For all of those out there who are not completely devoted to wearing black all the time, what kind of clothing do you like? I commonly wear clothes that resemble what you would find on Urban Outfitters ( www.urbanoutfitters.com ), but usually a bit darker than what they have.
So, how about it?

I dress like a nerd when I'm not going anywhere. Science-related t-shirts and jeans.

Cargo trousers, plain charcoal or black t-shirt, and a black, khaki or white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Comfy & practical, and lets me blend into the background at college like a chameleon.

I usually wear a black T-shirt or some form of short sleeved (or long sleeved with the sleeves rolled up) button-up shirt tucked into DIY camo bondage pants tucked into combat boots.
And I paint my nails black.

I pretty much wear dark coloured dresses, not necessarily black. I personally think all black all the time gets incredibly boring.

I don't know. I don't have "regular" clothing.
The more minimal I get, the more regular it gets I suppose. I DO tend to wear white dress shirts a lot with the sleeves rolled up. But I might have a vest on, so I kinda... defeat the purpose of looking completely normal.
There is of course this one outfit... if I want to disappear for a while and not ever get noticed in the least...
It WAS a brown suede button up shirt with a white tank underneith it, unbuttoned, khaki pants, brown leather belt, and brown leather loafers.
I would just wear my hair naturally and I would literally disappear for how ever long I was in it. Quite interesting.

For work, because I can only do so much black, and hide in my candlelit office so much, before I creep my boss out...
Blue pin striped oxfords and randomly coloured cress pants.
Still black shoes and belt 98% of the time.

I guess I sort of dress slightly "normally" on days. I have an outfit that's just black pants, and a red shirt with penguins on it. That could be seen as normal, sure. My corset style top and ankle length skirt, not so much. Anyone notice how normal clothes aren't as fun?

Yes, that's why I never wear normal clothes...

Yes, normal clothing, ick..
I go out and people who see me in my darker attire, suddenly see me as mudane, and I must look schizophrenic.

I think out of my entire wardrobe I possess two passably normal outfits.
The first one consists of my 'skinhead/punk' outfit which is army surplus jacket and shirt with some blue jeans that I roll up to flash my Doc Martens (nya haa).
The second one is what I like to call my Joel Barrish look, who was the main character from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind. And need I say more on that.
If you haven't seen that film then I'm sorry but you haven't lived.

All my clothes can be classified as either Geek or Casual Punk, but they are still pretty weird. I wear either black/blue jeans with them, and a pair of Converse/Airwalks/Vans/Reeboks as shoes. People consider it weird if I'm not wearing a jacket, which I pretty much do year round.

I like a lot of Urban Outfitters-ish stuff too. I like the darker stuff from brands like Salvage, Morphine Generation, Sweet & Toxic or Iron Fist. I wear Converse about as often as stompy boots.

I tend to keep it fairly simple, classic, and feminine, but with a bit of a twist. I'm quite fond of a hint of lace peeking out from an unexpected place (in a way completely unrelated to low-rise jeans, which are just tacky), of off-the-shoulder tops, and of fitted jackets. I've also got a great love of hoodies and Converse, but only because they're the most comfortable things ever in creation.
I don't know that I'd say I ever dress "normal". I'm more subtle on some days than others, but always fairly dark. Lots of black, lots of collars and cuffs, spikes and pins...I always find some way to work it in.

Day to day when I don't feel like dressing up I'll usually stick to fitted shirts and mid-length skirts, neither very gothy in themselves. More just 'sophisticated' I guess. Deathrock-ish accessories, hair and makeup sort of overcome that though...
But I don't dress gothily AT ALL when on my more active travels (skiing, scuba diving, jungle trekking, etc). Comfort > vanity when 1000 kilometres away from civilisation and/or 20 metres below the surface of the ocean. Not to say I don't wear black then though... wetsuits rarely come in bright colours.

I look dark without the clothes, but I don't have any mundane clothes, because I can't keep myself from my sewing supplies.

I also tend to wear gothabilly type clothing. Black pearl snaps, black jeans, black pocket tees, large sideburns, etc. Pictures asap.
