Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I've been looking for a place to get some new boots. its hard as shit to find good gothic boots where I live. Unless I want to go online, and even then, i'll have to pay a gillion bucks for demonia. Where are some good places to find some good boots for guys?

The real problem with buying shoes online for me is, you're never sure they're going to fit you, even if it is your size. I found this out in a painful and quite expensive way! And it costs to return them and order again...
Now that I think of it, this may only apply to women's shoes, because of all the different shapes and styles. I guess it's easier for you guys.

Don't buy Demonias, everyone I know who has bought them has had them fall apart within about a year, their parent company (Pleaser U.S.A.) also has a line called Pleaser which seems to be of much better quality and they cost about the same. For a decent place to find some good boots online check out http://www.slinkfashions.com/, they have a pretty wide selection and I have had good experiences with them in the past.

That's really strange because my Demonias have lasted me around 3 years now and only have a little cracking in the finish where they crinkle slightly at the back of the ankle. Maybe it's because I don't wear them loads.

Perhaps, I don't know I've never owned a pair so I don't know what causes the problems.

It seems as though they weren't designed to be worn every day.

Buy combat boots, they sure do last longer. But I suppose they're not really that "fashiony" for people. Eh, still good suggestion.

Yeah, right now I have two pairs of steel toes that take care of me, but I'd like at least one "proper" pair of appropriately flashy boots.

I love my Bongo boots too!
Well, OK I will 'fess up because I don't actually *love* them. They are a little tight in the calves and I can only have them on for a couple hours at a time but they are the sexiest boots I've got and they were free so that counts for something right? =)
Is that you in the picture?

I now own a magnificent pair of black patent platform stiletto type shoes. 6 inch heels. I need to practice walking in them! I know a man with a shoe fetish I can show them to and make him dribble hahaa!!!!

I neeeeeeeed those shoes.
I too am a shoe slut especially heels, the higher the better. My friends bought me a pair of trashy stripper heels with perspex heels and soles just to see if I could walk in them, I ran around the back garden in them.

I have a good few variations on the same shoe - mostly ankle and mid calf length Victorian style lace up bootee type things. I also have my fair share of killer heels though - they're definitely worth the pain for making my legs look ten times more elegant! I'm still looking for my perfect pair of knee length black lace up boots though. I think the search for the perfect knee length boot is one that will go on for the rest of my life!

I can imagine some unfortunate person mistaking the stiletto champagne glass for a real shoe!

As much as I love my combat boots, they are shit for warmth in the winter, I have to wear two pair of wool socks to keep my feet warm.
