Emmy Winner Walking Dead – Prosthetics

| |

The 2012 Emmys have been awarded, and the hit AMC television show, The Walking Dead, pardon the pun, walked away with an Emmy for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Miniseries, Movie Or A Special. The show, known for its realistic, cringe-worthy and gory effects, brings zombies into millions of American living rooms every week. Based on a comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead premiered on October 31, 2010 to an audience of 5.3 million. In 2011, The Walking Dead also won an Emmy for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Miniseries, Movie Or A Special. The numbers don’t lie. The Walking Dead has raised the bar for special effects and horror to a whole new caliber for cable television. Season 3 premieres on October 14, 2012 on AMC. This is one show not to be missed.
