My music, my life

I've often been told you have to listen to a certain type of music to be a certain type of person...If that's true, then what the hell am I?
Am I a gothic gangster? A techno composer?
If I like Eminem and Evanesance do i have to section my personality into little music personality types? I don't like being told I can't be who I am because I don't like The Cure or I like 50 cent too much. I like rock, rap, classical. and just about everything. I can even tolerate some pop in moderation. I listen to Type O Negative and Bach on the same playlist with Korn and Rasputina. Does this make me less than goth? When people tell me there is no way I can truly be goth becuse I've never listened to a song by The Cure more than once I think, "aren't you supposed to be the different, accepting people? now your making judgements about the rules to be part of your little 'club'?" My music is my life. If a song speaks to me, no matter who it's by, I'm going to listen.
