Oh yeah, i dont know about anyone else, but i didnt spend my summer looking at that "Gothic.Net is down for maintanence" fucking graphic for nothing, i can't leave for too long.

Thanks Edible and Mr Maelstrom for your input. For the record I did use the contact admin link (twice for what it was worth since they probably went straight to DirtNap).

Mr Maelstrom, I’d like to work off your input first. On the surface this has reduced to a battle of wills, where it is obvious that DirtNap has the advantage of being able to ban me as I come in to defend myself and point out the facts to support my case. While I agree that his stubbornness has some part to play in this, it isn’t his primary reason for banning me. This point I will come back to. While I haven’t been warm and fuzzy in my responses, (I have been blunt and more importantly honest) his handling of this matter has only made me indignant, and off course I’m going to dig my heels in. So as far as the battle of wills is concerned, it is a stalemate. There are a lot of computers in this world and I have a lot of computers that I can access. But please understand I will not apologise for being right, and you will NEVER find a female on the face of this earth who would (we in fact tkae perverse pleasure in it). Nor will I be subservient and say “Please sir, can you let me back in. I promise to never question your authority again.” Not in my nature. However if he just acknowledged that he had indeed broken his own rules and moved on, he could have avoided all of this. But that was never going to happen and I can tell you why.

DirtNap the co-owner. Ladies and Gents, while on the surface, a battle of wills raged, an undertow of numbers was in play. DirtNap’s priority is not to the integrity of this site, but to its numbers, that’s what he bought into. As a business owner myself, I am sure he did all the relevant market research before the sale, so he was well aware of all the ‘disgusting piss stuff’ before hand. The reason I was banned was because I posed a threat to the number of members to this site, (or so he thinks.) I suggested another forum be born. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I assume that the thread about the porn banners is a good indicator that the majority of high-participating members ignore the banners and come here for the people and the discussion. As DirtNap is a co-receiver of those funds, I think my analysis of the situation as a whole is accurate. As a businesswoman I appreciate a person’s right to make a living and I don’t question his methods, only his use of this charade to camouflage his true motives. By pointing this out I’m certain that it will only see this nic banned as well, but I am a truth-sayer at heart and to me that is more powerful than a man who can push a button.

Also as co-owner of the site, I can’t see why he wouldn’t have access to the bad post reports.

As for the use of the reputation button, I did use it, and before I was banned, I had a reputation of 1. Since I am new it goes to show that others do use it, but you are right, we should use it often on those who deserve it.

Welp, just remember that it's easier to click and ban someone than it is for them to go through the process of signing up for new email accounts and then new accounts here on Gothic.net, then going through the process of writing out some huge ass post. So yeah, good luck with your war of wills.

I guess so. I can understand why, it just means I'll have to come back tomorrow, and finish what I started.

You jump to an awful lot of conclusions.

You broke the rules and have shown nothing but belligerence and hostility ever since. You were seen to be a destructive participant and that observation seems to be holding true. I do not have a stake in the banner ads or whatever, but I have been asked to help remove trollish detractors. Your behaviour matched that profile and continues to match that profile. Pushing people towards some new site while being really rude about this one is simply not acceptable here.

If you went to someone's party and announced loudly that it sucked and everyone should go over to so-and-so's house, the hosts would think you were pretty out of line. If someone pointed that out to you and you threw a drink in their face and told them you were 'just being honest' they may well have you thrown out.

The owners of this site did not expect to have to rebuild it. Yes, the boards are a temporary stopgap solution for the regular gothic.net participants to continue interacting here. It's not being advertised anywhere, and I'm certain the owners could think of more profitable things to do with the site than run a couple banners on it and let people use it for free. But really, if you are not happy here, you were welcomed to leave (even before you were banned three or four times) but you are not welcomed to use this as a platform to build your own site, while being totally disrespectful of this site. Again, that is simply unacceptable.

The oversight with Xang was taken care of a while ago, but you want to use anything you can find to be a problem here, and I can't imagine why people should put up with that at all.

Come and chat awhile DirtNap. Who knows, you may even like it.

I also stated in https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=1062 that I was willing to move this off-site, mirrored in my email to admin. You have chosen to keep it out here. My behaviour in this thread is derived from your behaviour
If you would re-read the whole thread, you'll find it was numerous other members, not I, complaining about the quality of the site. And still you haven't addressed a lot of their concerns. Instead you continue to play tennis with me. And again, where's the post with the URL?
Admin has our thanks for the forum, and I'm sure there are those of us who even thank them for the banners. If you would go and read some of my earlier posts, you'll find that I was participating from the start, not trying to build another site. You have taken an issue that was over a while ago and misconstrued it as a plot. No plot. It was just an idea that was debated for a while then discarded like so many others in here.
Again, if you read my other posts, the only issue I am debating in here is you.
