Sexual Orientation.

I was just wondering would the majority of people in the Goth subculture be either straight or anything else.

I'd also like to hear about any stories people have where their sexuality conflicts with their lifestyle, how they've found being LGBT in the goth community etc etc. Discuss ^-^

Oh dear! I apologise profusely for misspelling "straight".

I would edit only for the five minute rule >-<.

Apologies.

Beneath the Shadows 04-06-2008 02:25 PM

I'm straight. I was bi-curious at point, but soon realized that it just wasn't me. And then I moved to a gay neighborhood. I enjoyed living there, the people were nice, it was easy to get by there, and it's where I met my wife. I've had a few run-ins with gay guys that just wouldn't accept the fact that I'm straight, but there's a few assholes everywhere you go.

honeythorn 04-06-2008 02:54 PM

Straight over here * waves * To be perfectly honest I've never wanted to even kiss another woman let alone anything else. Don't have problem with others doing it of course.

How are you defining pansexual?

As it's always been defined. You fall in love regardless of gender, and sexual attraction comes thereafter.

It's different to bisexual in that a bisexual may either go for a man or a woman depending on what body they may desire.

Underwater Ophelia 04-06-2008 03:22 PM

All right, I gotcha.

I'd be pansexual.

korinna5555 04-06-2008 03:29 PM

I sometimes appreciate men and women because they are men and women, but the few times I've actually fallen for someone of the same sex, it wasn't because they were the same sex. So.. I'm bi and pansexual. It depends.

Underwater Ophelia 04-06-2008 03:32 PM

Wait, am I confused as to the difference between bisexuality and pansexuality? When I fall in love--gender means nothing to me, it's like hair colour. I think I'm right to assume that makes me pansexual. However, like Korinna just said, I definitely appreciate the male aspects of males and the female parts of females.

I would think that just goes with it...or would that make me a bisexual also...?

I feel like to say that implies that pansexuals cannot appreciate their partner's bodies sexually.

korinna5555 04-06-2008 04:09 PM

Pansexuality is.. gender-blind, and extends to transgendered individuals. I think THAT is the "big difference".

All I know is that I like people, end of story. Men, women, and transgendered.. it's all good. I'm just glad I'm not asexual. ;)

Delkaetre 04-06-2008 04:14 PM

Pan, I suppose.
It doesn't matter if they're male, female, other. Beautiful, intelligent people will always be beautiful, intelligent people.

Xombie 04-06-2008 04:15 PM

I've gone through my share of "bi-curiosity." I realized that vaginas are disgusting, girls are dramatic and overemotional, and I hate the softness of a girl's touch. I like manly men. ;D

Magila 04-06-2008 04:17 PM

Straight, i feel pity for bi, and gay guys in the army as well.

korinna5555 04-06-2008 04:17 PM

I've always been a fan of androgyny..

Crying_Crimson_Tears 04-06-2008 05:08 PM

I used to say pansexual, but I am kind of confused more like it. I voted bisexual. I voted that way because I look at girls more sexually then I do men. But I have fallen in love with a guy and right now he is my boyfriend. But I don't have that much of a sexual attraction with him that I would have with a girl.

Too true, too true, if only they weren't so damn pretty.

I'm straight. Men Irk me to no bounds with their arrogance, bad body odor, ugly teeth and flatulence and I wonder how on earth women can tolerate us and how the human race managed to procreate in the stone age.

No, you don't have to explain the dynamics to me, I understood it fully at the age of seven.

Stormtrooper of Death 04-06-2008 07:08 PM

I'm straight. I've never looked at dudes the same way I look at girls.

KontanKarite 04-06-2008 07:16 PM

Pansexuality. I don't have a normal sex drive, so sex is not the main catalyst of my attraction to people. If you're a good person and can pull off your natural looks without looking like a slob, then I'll probably be attracted to you.

Opteron_Man 04-06-2008 08:38 PM

I think i'm bi. Better to be bi then being restricted to liking one gender.

Godslayer Jillian 04-06-2008 08:44 PM

I feel attracted by some men, but never sexually. I just acknowledge their good looks, and some times I do find myself staring at men, but the word "pansexual" implies sexuality in some way, so I think I'm straight.

KontanKarite 04-06-2008 08:47 PM

A romantic relationship doesn't necessarily require sexual intercourse. Alas, it's not really my place to convince people what they are or aren't.

Duane 04-06-2008 09:03 PM

I am straight, though, I have nothing against the other peeps, they all be cool.

gothicusmaximus 04-06-2008 09:20 PM

I'm straight. I have no idea how anyone can be attracted to men, but I thank god that they are.

Solumina 04-06-2008 09:43 PM

I would say that I am bisexual, judging by the fact that I have fallen for both guys and girls, then again I haven't met anyone who was transgendered so I suppose I could be pansexual and just not know it yet

KontanKarite 04-06-2008 09:49 PM

I'm gothicusexual.
