Funny and oddly before I even opened this thread [when I had just read the thread title] I automatically thought about Sarah Silverman and I wanted to crack up when I opened this thread and saw the name "Sarah Silverman." xD
I have never found her funny. Ever. Every time I've seen her on TV I wanted to shoot her and her non-humorous wisecracks in the face.

I love Sarah Silverman! And I tend to hate female comics. I actually find her to be very original and not pretentious when compared to most comics. I never really concidered her edgy or 'unconventional'. I like her because her comedy doesn't revolve around "MEN ARE LIKE THIS BUT WE'RE LIKE THIS!" the way most female comedians are. Or loud like Wanda Sykes (God I hate Wanda). She's just zany. Her show on comedy central is awesome. Can't get enough of her. I actually have had Jesus is Magic on DVD for years. She's adorable.

She's awesome! The "we're out of time" bit at the end was a great running gag.
Every time Matt Damon would come on the show they'd be out of time and he'd get pissed off. XD

I generally hated her songs but she wasn't the worst comedian I've never heard of until now. She's certainly not edgy or controversial really, she just knows how to recycle the crude into what seems like less crude.

I like it when critics try to be funny in their critiques on comedians and fall flat on their faces. "The only thing funny about this performance was the squeaky voice and horrible choice in the accompanying house wine. Fwuh huh huh *slurping sounds*. Not even the imbiding of sense dulling chemicals seem to help me understand the premise of these jokes."

There's only one thing that she did that doesn't make my eyeballs itch, and that would be her appearance in a two-part episode of Star Trek: Voyager. She's actually not that bad at acting when she's not trying to be an idiot.
Unfortunately, everything else I've seen from her is just pure crap. "Behold as I lick my dog's bung-hole! I'm the new Tom Green!"
