Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

new combat boots
I just bought a new pair of combat boots yesterday, but I've never worn combat boots before. What sort of outfit do you wear with them? I need some ideas...

I usually wear swishy skirts and frilly shirts with my boots. Sometimes I'll tuck a pair of pinstripes into them, too, or I'll wear a pleated short skirt with striped stockings.
But really, there's no limit to what you could do outfit-wise; it only ends with your imagination. So have fun and experiment, I'm sure you'll find a outfit or two you'd look fine in with a pair of combat boots.

Thanks. I wasn't sure what would look stupid with them. Right now I'm wearing them with black and white striped tights, a black short skirt and a black tank top. My imagination isn't working now right now. =/

My daily outfit usually consists of MARPAT pants, a black tee shirt or tactical shirt and combat boots with laddered or barred laces.
There you go. Be a Skyler clone.
Oh, also, if you want to be a seventies punk wannabe, wear a tutu with combat boots.

Well I think combat boots would go with anything of a dark color.
Polish them and they will look really good!
A good polish to use would be "Kiwi Parade Gloss"

I had an old pair of the cheap one's they sell at the Army Surplus stores because I didn't have money for the better ones. When they were in use, I wore them with practically everything I had. They are functional at least. But then again, I usually only have one pair of shoes to choose from at a time, and those were them. Now I have a variety, So I better get used to having to pick things, xD

Well I'm a guy so I couldn't really help you there. I tuck my pants into the boots at the top. Thats how all us punk rockers do it anyway.

I wear everything and anything with mine.
Then again, mine aren't *real* combat boots, as they have a heel to them.

No idea what so ever. You should experiment, see what you think would look best.

I'm still waiting for my bloody boots. But I figure I'll wear them with my pants tucked into them, or perhaps rolled up halfway, with my patch jacket and a band shirt under that.

Well I wear platform boots .. which are kinda the same (except for the huge sole). What I do is either wear them under baggy/flared trousers or wear them over skinnys. I wouldnt reccomend like stuffing them under tight-ish jeans. I never thought that looked good >.~

I've found that combat boots go with just about everything. I put white laces in mine and have my jeans tucked into them, or I roll the jeans up over the boots

Anything. I think combat boots go with everything. As long as you keep them polished and shiny.

So true! Boots will go with anything, it just depends how you wear that particular thing with the boots. I have no skinny jeans, so I've never had a problem with that, but I have a pair of 2 pairs of combat boot-style boots, one around mid-calf with a heel, and a pair of knee highs. I find the knee highs fun to wear with shorter skirts and stripes and the mid-calf pair for under pants. It's all up to you though.
