Dabbadmc's introduction
Hello. My name's Dearbhla (pronounced Der-vla) but you can call me dabbadmc.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Well...I'm still in school but also play the harp at venues as a little weekend job. As for hobbies, well, I play many musical instruments so those take over.
2. Where are you from?
A little town in Northern Ireland called Kilrea.
3. Who is your favorite author?
I've gotten out of the way of reading in the past little while...which I regret.
4. What are your favorite films?
Hmm...Lord of the Rings or anything that makes me piss myself laughing.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Soul Embraced
6. At your funeral?
'I Will Survive' haha
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Impaled by a javelin.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I'll be cremated, and then my ashes will be spread over my deceased relatives' graves.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Being in the nude.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Talking to imaginary people and not seeming like a total lunatic.
11. What's your favorite band?
Favourite? Not sure. I enjoy irish tradition and some classical music as a result of playing many instruments. But I also enjoy some Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Sex Pistols and some Pantera.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm in secondary school in Ireland.
13. Why did you join?
To meet some nice new people.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

Nice. I've not been as exposed to Celtic music as much as I'd like. I don't claim that Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murpheys count, really.
There used to be this compilation CD I used to listen to called "The Women of The Celtic" or something like that. A very beautiful sound, really.
In regards to Irish music, what would you recommend?

I would recommend the Chieftains or the Furey Brothers. In fact, there's a song called 'The Lonesome Boatman' which is very beautiful. Perhaps it's online - if you wanted to check it out.

But yes again welcome. Great outfit. If you want to get impaled by a javelin take some advice from these guys(you've probobly seen these before) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcXyK...eature=related

Cool. Do you know what the name of the song is?
And thanks for the links. I figure I'll go along to the olympics and walk around the playing field while they throw.

I only remember the voice, and the words(if they were even that) were nothing I could understand.

Now I know where to go to get my piercings done for free.
Welcome. I love harp music, one of my favorite harp pieces is the beginning of Elton John's Sixty Years Gone.

The Chieftains + Sinead O'Connor.. The Foggy Dew.. Fantastical. I love that song.. hell, I adore Celtic music in general. I am currently in the process of paying for a bodhran.
I'm Keegan, by the way. Folks on here usually call me Bela or Korinna - take your pick.
