You can applaud, if you wish.
Really, my ego would appreciate it.
Anyway, I'm Lizzie, but I don't expect you remember that. 'Goth' is a strange word that may or may not fit me on certain days of the week, and either way I don't care that much. Why am I here, then? Good question. It's probably because I'm a creepy lurker who enjoys reading random forums when there's nothing else to do, and when I came across this one I liked what I saw and wanted to contribute to some of the threads - the only way to do that being to register. So here I am, in all my run-on sentenced glory, making up my own introduction because I don't like answering questions...unless I do.
I don't pretend to know everything (or even anything, in some cases) about goth, which probably means I have to do some reasearch before I get my head bashed in, but hopefully you'll be nice to me. Please.

Hi, welcome.
Could you fill out our questions please, they're on a sticky.

Oh - sorry, I didn't know you had to answer the questions. I just saw a bunch of other introduction threads without the questions and I thought they were optional...?
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm a student and I don't have a job yet. As far as hobbies go, I love to write things.
2. Where are you from?
Someplace in the USA.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Anne Rice. Please don't shoot me - I'm not just saying it because her books are 'dark' and about vampires, but because I really love the way she writes with such insight and descrption of things people usually try not to think about, or shy away from...
4. What are your favorite films?
I'm supposed to have one?
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I haven't given this much thought, really - probably something classical but untraditional, to match the ceremony I made up in my head. As for actual names/songs...no idea.
6. At your funeral?
Same as above.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
With no regrets.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I don't want a casket at all. The thought of my body just rotting away underground really disgusts me. I want to be creamated, then have my ashes scattered somewhere important to me.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I'm supposed to have one of them, too? I don't know. A lot of the time I don't dress goth, so it's nothing fancy. There's no one outfit I prefer, but I like comfy jeans and flattering t-shirts.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Being so carefree and able to just bounce around, happy and uncaring.
11. What's your favorite band?
I don't have one of those, either. My taste in music ranges all over the place, and I can't have a preference.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm in highschool, and if my mind doesn't change before I get to college, I'll major in English. Maybe.
13. Why did you join?
Because I like the kind of conversations that go on around here, and most of the users seem intelligent.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I'm a girl. Of course.

As long as you don't pretend that you do know something about goth when you don't (lyk omfg my favorite music is marilyn manson, HIM and 69 eyes/ list of shit metal I'm ever so gawffic) then you probably won't get your head bashed in.

Check out the videos I've posted in my signature. Do you like the music? If so, you can consider yourself Goth and we will gladly recommend you more bands. If not, then you probably shouldn't stress yourself out over it too much.

Not really, just a simple way of informing those who are arsed to look at it.

Hello, and welcome! Your username reminds me of a nickname my dad gave me. He calls me 'Lizzard breath' because it sort of sounds like Elizabeth, which is my name.

Bleh, did you have to chose those songs? There is better Sisters, far less boring Bauhaus, better Christian Death, the Cure stuff is good, and well, Siouxsie can't be helped, she's always boring.
Sorry, just nitpicking.

Siouxsie was and is amazing! Granted, the Bauhaus can get tedious, but that can't be helped.
Oh, and Lizzard, welcome.

It's not my bag. You try spending all day listening to Hardcore Punk just to go listen to Siouxsie Sioux.

When I started out, I had been switching up the songs periodically, but then I just stopped bothering, I guess.
Anyways, if you take issue with my superior music taste, then you are duly invited to suck my cock.

Welcome to G.net! I'll probably remember your name since I have a particular affinity for lizards in general.
I like that you're honest, and that you aren't just trying to come up with something to 'please' folks. Welcome welcome!
