I want something similar, but with less beatings and more pretentious shit like reading William Burroughs aloud and acting out Naked Lunch by candlelight. Ciickens in the yard, a literature exam before citizenship is bestowed, and computers but no TV. Once you've proved yourself loyal by raising a week's worth of home-grown you get an acoustic guitar. And no hardcore punk in the house. Fuckin' bliss.

Nah, I'm only half-serious. I was really into punk and metal when I was about 15 but for the last few years when my obssessed friends assault my ears with it when we get together, I just find it abrasive and annoying. I respect punk but I'm finding that as I get older, most of it's not really soul-stirring music for me anymore. Tastes change all the time, I may well get back into it at some point. Just keep it outside the motherfucking house and we'll get along fine.
